Maybe the reason the problem is unsolvable is because it's not really a problem in the first place. Consider that it might just be a circumstance of life in need of acceptance. Acceptance is often the beginning of transformation, because it's changing the one thing you have control over: your reaction to life. This is the theme of the week as the sun enters Scorpio on Thursday with the fanfare of a partial solar eclipse and new moon.
ARIES (March 21-April 19). Seek interests that capture your attention on more than a superficial level. How long an experience lasts isn't nearly as important as the impact it has. A minute could strike you at a deeper level than a year. That's exactly why you want to forgo shallow pursuits. You long for depth and meaning, and you'll find it.
TAURUS (April 20-May 20). Some say that when you exchange money for something, you're casting a vote. Of course, mostly it just feels like you're voting for life as usual, but there are deeper implications to consider. That's what's on your mind this week — the world at large and your part, however big or small, in making it better.
GEMINI (May 21-June 21). You are a truth and beauty seeker this week. The beauty part is easy — it's everywhere. The truth part is challenging. How do you know truth? Hint: The truth is still the same no matter who believes it. It's still the same regardless of whom it benefits or hurts. The truth is unchanging.
CANCER (June 22-July 22). You hold your teachers in deep regard, even those who taught you by being absolutely crummy at what they did. They taught you what not to do — lessons you'll use this week as you go in the opposite direction of negativity and ineffectualness. Your reverence for your teachers is part of what will make you great.
LEO (July 23-Aug. 22). It's said that flowers smell sweeter right before a storm. If it's true, this is only one of the subtle changes humans pick up on about the impending weather. You have a sense of some emotional weather to come — not bad weather, just a change. Prepare by bonding with loved ones. You'll ride the new trend together.
VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22). Sometimes you dream of being rich and powerful, and other times you dream of renouncing your possessions and being free of the struggle. Both dreams are about freedom. You can and will get more freedom in your life without going to extremes.
LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 23). When you finally get the thing you want, it doesn't always go the way you thought it would go. That's because you were different back when you first dreamed this. You've grown along the way. You should still celebrate the accomplishment, though. It represents your ability to see things through.
SCORPIO (Oct. 24-Nov. 21). You like to solve problems, and you'll be good at it this week. That said, it will be important to attack meaningful, legitimate issues instead of trying to please people who cannot and will not ever be satisfied. Avoid whiners and complainers if you can. (If you can't avoid them, try to ignore them.)
SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21). Instead of intending to have a better life, you actually take the time to plan how you'll accomplish it. This can seem overwhelming at times, so stay calm and reasonable. It may seem like an impossibly long and arduous journey ahead, but whatever good you do in one small area will set you on the path.
CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19). You would never intimidate others on purpose, and yet this week there will be a few who are daunted by your stature and position. Go out of your way to be approachable. Welcome feedback. Those drawn into your realm will have something of value to share.
AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18). There is so much sweetness in your world, but for some reason you may have trouble tasting it this week. Remind yourself of how far you've come. Viewing old movies and pictures will help to get you back in touch with your journey so you can appreciate this part of it with a long-view perspective.
PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20). Even though you actively pursue personal and spiritual growth, you know better than to make that all about you. Ego-based concerns have a way of thwarting your development. That's why you're bound and determined to focus on what you're giving. All along the way you'll ask: What can I contribute?
THIS WEEK'S BIRTHDAYS: In the days that follow your birthday, you'll see your life in a different way, and this will inspire you to make a few changes. For starters, you'll find more people to love this year. In November, you'll be hosting (which you take to a new level) and enjoying the hospitality of others. December brings professional challenges and contests you'll find inspiring. The best months to invest in a venture are April and May. Seek mentorship to navigate the foreign territory.
