The theme this week is memories and meaning. In the recent astrological past, it was retrograde-mania, with innermost and outermost planets simultaneously traveling backward. Things have quieted down considerably since the fast changes and excitement of the past two weeks, and the lull in the action will be just the thing to magnify the effect of distant Uranus, Neptune and Pluto all on their retrograde journeys.
ARIES (March 21-April 19). This week comes with the strong sense that things happen for a reason. You'll go into a relationship wanting one thing, but you'll soon figure out that for one reason or another, it's just not going to work that way. Because you are flexible and resourceful, you'll find an even better reason and way to connect.
TAURUS (April 20-May 20). You know what they want you to do, and you so wish that you wanted that, too. Alas, you're drawn toward more unique and unconventional aims. Don't worry about disappointing others. Truly all will be better served when you honor your originality. The world needs what only you can create.
GEMINI (May 21-June 21). Your heart wants to back a certain person, though your head may be telling you otherwise. This likely has to do with the financial aspects of the situation, which may not add up so neatly. You won't regret making a conservative choice, though you'll likely regret what you do on impulse.
CANCER (June 22-July 22). Your enchanting qualities will be highlighted this week. The way you speak, the rhythm, tempo, tone and meaning of it, will cast a kind of spell over someone. Whether or not you mean for this to happen, it will. The question is: What will you do with the extra attention? Enjoy it? Deflect it? Make use of it? Up to you!
LEO (July 23-Aug. 22). Concerning your environment, your communication style, your relationships or work, this is your week to loosen up a bit. There's a point at which clean becomes too clean. Where there's nothing extra, there can be nothing for humans to connect to. Relax and let some things fall where they may.
VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22). Work can be a place where uninspired people punch the clock, or it can be an adventure where teams learn, grow and take risks together in order to achieve a common goal. You have a vision this week. You're up for the challenge and are willing to lead the others toward making the work experience more than it was.
SCORPIO (Oct. 24-Nov. 21). What you do you do for them — not just for yourself. You'll study the needs of others and then decide whether to serve or provoke them. The latter may seem cruel, but in your case, it's done in love. Everyone needs someone who will spark the excitement and ignite the fight. You'll gladly take on the role.
SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21). Drama can be magnetic and exciting, fodder for conversation, and a splashy bit of excitement on the social networking pages, too. Or it can be tedious. Much depends on the frequency of the drama. Those who pick and choose their moments carefully will get the most bang for their dramatic buck this week.
CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19). Usually you're the one to start things. This week, you're better off fading into the background for a day or two while others try to figure out what's next. They might not decide. They might turn to you on Wednesday with question marks in their eyes. In that case, you'll be a strong leader, and they'll be loyal followers.
AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18). Shoppers do not start at the front of the store and consider each item until the entire inventory is covered. That would be exhausting and a humongous waste of time. Instead, shopping is about skimming the surface until something catches your interest, which is very much what this week will be like for you.
PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20). Cultivate charisma through a process of self-acceptance. That flaw you're trying to hide — what if you endorsed it instead? This is how weaknesses can be turned into strengths. Vulnerability is relatable. Honesty is attractive. Confidence is magnetic.
THIS WEEK'S BIRTHDAYS: A powerful figure will take a shine to you in August. Ultimately, this teacher will lead you to productivity and money. Your September investment will pay off by the end of the year. Creative partnerships come together in January to help you succeed in art, commerce or a combination of the two. (Negotiations are an art form, too.) February brings a blossoming. In your new maturity, you will be willing to sacrifice who you thought you were to become the person you could be.
