Full Moon and Total Lunar Eclipse
People who feel listened to have a greater feeling of control over their lives and a stronger sense of connection to others. Giving the gift of being a good listener isn't free, nor is it easy. It comes with a cost, and that cost is a measure of time and full attention. This week's total lunar eclipse and full moon in the sign of partnerships serves as a reminder to listen well to those we love the most.
ARIES (March 21-April 19). It's hard to say how people come to expect things from you beyond what you tell them you will do, but this will be the case. It will be a challenge to communicate where you're coming from, but you'll find a way to make them understand, adjust and set a new and more appropriate expectation.
TAURUS (April 20-May 20). Knowing that you can't have everything at once, it's time to order your list. The people and tasks that need you will seem more important than many of the things you want. Is this the best way to live? The answer may be "yes," but still you should hold up the question because you'll thrive best living a life well examined.
GEMINI (May 21-June 21). Whether it's family, a work colleague or the general public, at some point you'll have to deal with people who don't know or respect your personal rights and preferences. It's not always possible to choose your team, but when you do have a choice, you'll avoid people who require you to constantly assert yourself.
CANCER (June 22-July 22). When you go against your better judgment, it usually ends badly. And yet you will feel bold and daring this week, gripped by a vivacious mood that may convince you that the possibility of certain negative consequences is fair payment for the prize of adventurous living.
LEO (July 23-Aug. 22). Whether surfing the Internet or shopping in the real world, don't buy into offers that sound even a little too good to be true. Online, the wrong websites could give your computer a virus, and in the real world, bad decisions bring unnecessary regrets. Your judgment is excellent this week, so all you have to do is follow it.
VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22). You'll figure out on whom you can rely. New prospects will seem scary to the reliable people you know. Another person's inability to act quickly and confidently presents both a problem and an opportunity for you. As you realize that it's too much to expect others to carry the ball, you'll commit to moving things forward.
LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 23). You used to think that true love meant not having to give up who you are or change in any way to accommodate the other person. However, this week you may love someone deeply and truly and still want change. It is reasonable to believe this change can happen, but only if the other person wants it, too.
SCORPIO (Oct. 24-Nov. 21). You don't require as much reassurance as others, and you don't act because you need the reaction of others to feel validated. However, when you are socially validated this week, it will feel good — much better than you thought it would — and you might change your plans in order to get more of this good feeling.
SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21). In some ways, your life this week will be as complicated as science. You'll have to choose between proof and certainty. You won't have both in the same situation. You'll either have to take a leap of faith to accept what is, or you'll have to believe the facts even though they add up to a reality you can't see.
CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19). People go to great lengths to avoid certain feelings, but you're learning that it's often much easier just to let the feeling happen. Good health and augmented fortunes follow your decision to stay with uncomfortable feelings and work through them. They will be over soon enough!
AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18). You'll be driven to create, originate and initiate, though while in the process of this, you'll wonder whether it's what you're really doing. It will feel like you're just taking the next step, assimilating your environment in the way that seems most logical to you. What you think is obvious others observe as wondrously original.
PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20). It takes a good deal of energy to be positive and engaged most of the time, but you feel it's energy well spent because it not only makes your life better, but it also improves other people's experience, too. Just be sure to take a few breaks in which you spend hours on end not demanding a thing from yourself.
THIS WEEK'S BIRTHDAYS: In the past, you were made to feel like it was your responsibility to bear the burden of another person's misbehavior. Now you realize how wrong you were about that — you're totally free! You'll love this year's options, beginning with a choice in May that will make you money. A sweet friend will open up your horizons in June. Travel is best in July and September. You'll be a keeper of treasures in August. While you're looking for ways to use and expand your talent, you'll find love.
