New Moon Complications Tomorrow's Virgo new moon suggests we might need a different diet. She says our work systems aren't what they could be. She wonders whether we could do more to ingratiate our friends or train our pets. Why so critical, Virgo new moon? Well, it's not …Read more. Meet Up in Scorpio

The moon, Saturn and Mars meet up in Scorpio emphasizing the polarizations of this existence. It's light and dark, life and death. Sure, the "middling bit" is where we hang out for much of it, and yet there will be such an awareness of the temporal nature of this life that we can't hang out there without feeling profound about it.

ARIES (March 21-April 19). You will be (futilely) attempting to resist a natural attraction. What would happen if you gave into it instead? For starters, you'd immediately have more energy at your disposal because resistance requires so much from you. Of course, you might have to handle a few details before you let yourself go wild.

TAURUS (April 20-May 20). Among your many talents, constancy will be the most important one this week. To be steadfast is simple but not easy. To the untrained eye, such constancy may seem to lack glamour. And yet success will come to you because you know what needs to be done and you show up to do it every single time.

GEMINI (May 21-June 21). You do not need to be sensitive to feedback. None of it is about you personally. Everything you hear can help you become a better performer. Some comments make you better because you know to ignore them; others, because you know to heed them. The knowing is something that happens deep inside you. Trust it.

CANCER (June 22-July 22). Passion is overrated. A little goes a long way. Those who believe "all's fair in love and war" lack impulse control. This week you're better off with the kind of people who stick with certain rules of conduct. Build those relationships. Cherish them. Celebrate that unsung virtue: decency.

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22). Sure, you're status-conscious. If you weren't, it would be difficult to operate inside the culture in which you live. At the same time, you're spiritually evolved enough to realize that ultimately we are all the same. That is the part of you that someone will fall in love with this week.

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22). What you're authentically interested in will energize you. The rest will be a drain, but you won't mind it — it's to be expected. Life, as a rule, requires energy. That's why it's such a treat when you find a focus that actually gives more than it takes. Consider this among your most precious gifts of the week.

LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 23).

What a child blurts out in the spirit of harmless observation may be considered downright detrimental to a socially conscious adult. And there are those around you who are over 18 and, judging by what leaves their lips, have yet to enter full adulthood. This is when your diplomatic powers shine best.

SCORPIO (Oct. 24-Nov. 21). Socializing definitely isn't for the cowardly. Not only are you bolder than usual this week, but you also could convince yourself that you like meeting new people and accept the arduous work that comes with it. Because this week the socializing is pretty much unavoidable, you may as well throw yourself into it.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21). You take pleasure in getting things right. That's why you'll go back to a project you once abandoned, armed with new information and methods to try. Your perspective and attitude are stellar. This time around you'll do better. It may take another try next week, but you're certainly on your way.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19). You haven't been taking your leisure time seriously enough. Honestly, when all is said and done, are you really going to be proud of yourself for neglecting to have fun? At the very least, get out on Thursday or Friday evening. Go where the lighting and music put you in a different world.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18). You don't have to be around cynical, bitter people, but there are real benefits to bouncing your ideas off of a few naysayers and pessimists. These are the people who poke around trying to find problems, and in the process, they will help you avoid the obvious ones and bring awareness to the more subtle dangers.

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20). Being big-picture focused is beautiful for you this week. You are so intent on having a great life that whatever happens in a not-so-great hour — or maybe even in a whole 24-hour period — is essentially inconsequential. Playing the long game will bring you much satisfaction and success.

THIS WEEK'S BIRTHDAYS: Your professional and personal life will be busy this year. You will strive for pleasant interactions and will be compelled to give and do more than what's asked. Before you put yourself out to exceed expectation, consider that sometimes less is more. Intellectual pursuits bring great happiness over the next 10 weeks. Also, you'll meet life-changing people through them. You'll master a skill in November and start making money with it straight away. Your family grows in May.
