Mars and Neptune Call for Prudence
Squirrels plan and act for the future; whereas, other animals foolishly act only in the present. Perhaps that's why squirrels are one of the oldest species. Scientific evidence suggests that squirrels have been around for 200 million years, a stark contrast to the 200,000 that humans are believed to have been on Earth thus far. This week's square of Mars and Neptune suggests we must be prudent to set ourselves up for a future we'll enjoy.
ARIES (March 21-April 19). Leisure time is born out of using the rest of your time well. Otherwise, it's not really leisure; it's avoidance. You'll be honest with yourself about how you use your time this week, and the cosmos are rooting for you to make the necessary adjustments that will allow for your ultimate enjoyment of leisure.
TAURUS (April 20-May 20). You'll make a presentation of sorts this week. At first, this will seem like no big deal, but it matters more than it seems to and is certainly worth putting some thought and practice into. With a little extra effort, you're sure to express yourself in a captivating way and strongly influence others.
GEMINI (May 21-June 21). Good sportsmanship is a value of yours that will play a prominent part in your week. Being stoic in defeat and gracious in victory is part of it. Another part of it is choosing the right opponent and playing to win. You're not in the game to make friends now. Winning will be important to you on many levels.
CANCER (June 22-July 22). You'll witness a person engaged in an intriguing activity and will decide on the spot that you want to do that. Inspiring moments like this are heaven sent and don't come along very often. Move forward immediately and with conviction. You have a chance to build important momentum.
LEO (July 23-Aug. 22). Your ability to keep facts straight will distinguish you. Take a moment to get your head together and review what you know before you embark on your various missions this week. Getting important details right (perhaps the most important being keeping people's names straight) will factor into your success.
VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22). This week your strong curiosity could lead you to new friends, hobbies and income sources. Of course, this depends on how adamantly you follow it. Avoid getting too much information from one source. Learn from many sources. Each teacher will have a different strength and a unique way of presenting the lesson.
LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 23). It's wise to repeat successful actions, although there's a point at which doing the same things over and over leads to stagnation. You're in danger of reaching that point this week. Make far-fetched plans. Take measures to avoid monotony. A change of environment will help your work and your personal life, too.
SCORPIO (Oct. 24-Nov. 21). Your efforts to include others will benefit you and the world at large. You have no idea how much a kind word, an invitation or some random praise could favorably impact the outsiders and misfits around you. Reach out. People look up to you, and your attention will matter.
SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21). The lesson this week centers on pacing yourself and taking care of your needs. You may go into the week feeling somewhat worn out. There's no shame in taking a rest. Sleep long hours when you feel you need it. It's part of what keeps you quick and strong when it matters.
CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19). It's important to note that inspiration does not always strike naturally like lightning. More likely, this week it will strike manually, like a match. Get moving and the ideas start to flow. As the great adventurer and author Jack London said, "You can't wait for inspiration. You have to go after it with a club."
AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18). You have a strong intuitive sense about how people are likely to act and react in any given situation. This predictive talent will serve you well this week. It will help you avoid trouble and steer yourself toward the calm waters where you'll be able to do the most good and receive the best reward.
PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20). We live in a social media-driven world where word of mouth (either in person or via social media) is one of the best ways to gain customers and/or friends. You'll get excellent word of mouth this week by doing something worth talking favorably about. On the flip side, don't say anything you don't want made public.
THIS WEEK'S BIRTHDAYS: You'll make the kind of friends you need — the kind that let you be you and support you without expectation. The next six weeks represent a health-kick that you'll come out of more vital and attractive. You'll apply a mentor's specific recommendations in June and gain an edge in business and in life. Never stop working on your relationships, no matter what else is going on. Love is what will make your life exciting and fulfilling. September and November are best for taking trips.
