Taurus Sun's Debut
It's been said that nature hates a vacuum, but in the first full week of the 2014 Taurus sun, most people would rather feel the sucking void of a vacuum than replace it with boring, ordinary things. There's much we could add to our lives, and most people will be as lucky as they are discerning. The Taurus sun favors quality over quantity. Pick and choose. Hold out as long as it takes for something (or someone) truly special.
ARIES (March 21-April 19). Hearts get broken, and they miraculously still work. In fact, broken hearts work better than hearts that have never been broken, because they operate on a full range of feeling that unbroken hearts can't fathom. You're wiser because of all you've been through, and this week your love will help heal someone in need.
TAURUS (April 20-May 20). Some questions will never be answered, but that doesn't mean they shouldn't be asked. So go ahead and voice your curiosity. Maybe illuminating knowledge on the subject will be shared three generations from now, or maybe never. But you'll make people think, and that's what matters this week.
GEMINI (May 21-June 21). You've been feeing like there aren't enough available hours to accommodate all you want to do. You may even decide to alter your nightly routine in favor of waking up much earlier, which is a fine way to elongate the day. As you experiment to harmonize your relationship with time, things will improve for you this week.
CANCER (June 22-July 22). It'd be nice if you had a strong support system for this week's difficult challenge, but instead you have a vision. For now, that will be almost as good. It will take a while for the others to see what you see. Keep painting it for them, and eventually they'll catch on. Until then, hold on to hope and believe in your imagination.
LEO (July 23-Aug. 22). Ever gracious, you also sense when the gift a person offers you comes with so much expectation that it's actually more of a burden than a blessing. This week your independent spirit is strong, so don't accept the kinds of gifts that will slow you down or cause you to have to interact in a way that feels false to you.
VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22). Positive self-talk is much easier to achieve when the other talk around you is also positive. This is just one more reason to take a break from the negative people in your life. Getting distance might seem more difficult than it really is. All you have to do is make an excuse and walk in the opposite direction.
LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 23). It is natural to accept the familiar parts of life without question. But you have reason to pose questions anyhow. Your mind is curious and alert, and you have an incentive to find a better way to do things. You will be able to clearly and objectively see what others are unable to discern. This is the start of something new.
SCORPIO (Oct. 24-Nov. 21). Easy-going — that's what works for you. You have standards, but you don't rigidly enforce them at all times. Why be overly critical of other people's methods? You wouldn't want them to focus on yours in that way. In your book, affording yourself and others leeway in life is part of being an all-around cool person.
SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21). There's a deal in the making. Beforehand, stay fully aware of the details and all you're getting into. Ask questions. Be vigilant. You have to get it right in the beginning, or there is no point to doing the deal at all. There's little you will be able to change after the fact, and so once it's done, relax.
CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19). Relationships will stretch and shift this week. Because this is happening and can't be helped, your best move is to embrace it. Anyway, it wouldn't benefit you to try to stop change — it's essential in any good relationship. The road that never turns seems very long indeed.
AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18). When you don't like the position you're in, try repose, which is quite literally a repositioning. Sure, it's a passive and restful repositioning, but when you come out of it, you'll find a completely new stance — possibly the one that will help you to be effective and successful in your chosen endeavor.
PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20). Ideally, your work would suddenly become exciting with no help from you. Short of that stroke of luck, you could try facing your task with the mind of a philosopher or the experimental mood of a scientist. Suddenly, what seemed dead or dull will spring to life. Creativity, money and other good things will follow.
THIS WEEK'S BIRTHDAYS: You don't have to move mountains to find success this year. You'll do it the smart and easy way: You'll move yourself and projects to a place where the mountain is no longer in the way. Your savvy dealings start this month, and you'll keep making new arrangements all the way into July. May brings work, money and other resources. You'll love focusing on your family and personal life in June, which is one of your most relaxing months in a long time. Ancient history will be revisited in August.
