Horoscopes by Holiday for June 7

Everyone is talking as Mercury, Venus and the sun align in confabulatory Gemini. Intellects chew on the issues, information hits the streets, and people in love express those feelings. One caution though: Mercury is still retrograde, increasing the chance for mixed signals and unintended misunderstandings, so avoid jumping to conclusions.

ARIES (March 21-April 19). Though you're busy working through your supposed leisure time, these sacrifices come with the territory. It's part of your initiation for a position that most only dream about.

TAURUS (April 20-May 20). Powerful partners come in all shapes and sizes. With your open mind, you'll be able to discern between who is going to help you and who is going to bug you. Capricorn is among the helpers.

GEMINI (May 21-June 21). The love of your life is intent on proving that (SET ITAL) you (END ITAL) are the true love of your life. This person is, of course, right. That is the order of things. You're in charge of taking care of you, and all else is a bonus gift you give to the universe.

CANCER (June 22-July 22). You've traveled wide and far. You report back to friends and they appreciate the distance you've gone. Just remember to ask where they've been, too -- social graces take you even further.

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22). When others don't understand your seemingly obvious wishes, you can't help but wonder, "Is it me? Am I communicating clearly?" Take the extra care necessary to make your will felt and known.

TODAY'S BIRTHDAY (JUNE 7). You harness the winds of fortune this year, applying last year's successful concepts in new and bigger ways. This month is experimental. New partners are attracted to your bold spirit of innovation. You just may take these folks on the road with you in July. A windfall facilitates the fun in November. Aquarius and Cancer adore you. Your lucky numbers are: 7, 10, 37, 18 and 4.

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22). When someone suggests that dreaming takes courage, you say, of course! You dance your spirit far into the future and are enlivened by all you project. Aquarius is an especially suitable dance partner.

LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 23). The reason you are directing your feelings toward a certain unresponsive someone is merely a indication that you have yet to find someone more compelling to direct your feelings toward. You will.

SCORPIO (Oct. 24-Nov. 21). Focus on bolstering your social life, perhaps by joining a club, taking a class or getting involved in a cause.
Regarding a past love: The day you move on is the day this person will call.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21). Everything about your guiding planet, Jupiter, is a big deal. He's the biggest planet in the solar system, and he can't help but infuse you with the spirit of abundance, which you now celebrate.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19). Are suggestions being whispered to you from unlikely sources? Follow the message. This is no accident! It may very well be your unconscious desire reflected back to you.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18). It's like there is a homing device inside you to direct you to where your likeminded, kindred spirits roam. You meet, greet and make plans with the people you were always meant to join.

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20). High standards are a part of your everyday life. Can you refrain from imposing yours on others? It's challenging but doable. Someone close to you needs more tenderness than scrutiny.

ASTROLOGICAL TOPICS: The world's gone global. And whether chilling out in the next state over or a couple countries over, it's fun to travel to in the style that best suits your stars. SAGITTARIUS: This isn't rocket science: You're revitalized by anywhere that expands your boundaries beyond where they are now. This could be your neighborhood -- in which case, your next stop is only a few blocks away. Sagittarius travel concept: 'Round-the-world tickets, open-ended tickets, multi-destination tickets -- of course, the best ticket is the one with no final destination or end point in sight. What to wear: a friendly smile (it gets you everywhere). What to bring: passport or ID. Who to bring: Gemini, Aries. CAPRICORN: Travel because an accomplished individual is a well-rounded one. And being intimately familiar with another politic, custom and climate of a region makes you attractive to your clients. Capricorn travel concept: destination green. Unlike ecotourism, try "sustainable tourism" for the environmental resources, cultural authenticity and socio-economics of a place. What to wear: leisure clothing. What to bring: a map. Who to bring: Pisces, Virgo.

CELEBRITY PROFILES: Has Prince discovered the fountain of youth, or what? His music remains as consistently relevant as it was half a decade ago -- and at 50 years young, Prince looks the same as he ever was, too. Gemini stays current until the current changes, then changes again. And because Gemini is thoroughly young at heart, they seem to retain their sprightly physique and sparkle throughout.
