Today Neptune in Aquarius is like a kaleidoscope on the sun, filtering our everyday lives with myriad ways of being and seeing. We're like kids excited by the prisms, forms, shapes and colors in shifting patterns, while wondering, is this a distraction? Where is this going? Consider it an exercise in observing your self. Watch what you're drawn into.

ARIES (March 21-April 19). Your excitement is sustained as long as you're in good company. You have zero tolerance for anyone who drains you. You'd rather stay home than have to deal with even one negative influence.

TAURUS (April 20-May 20). Someone who was trying to gain ground may have stepped on your confidence on the way up. What this person doesn't realize is that you never forget. You'll get a chance to even the score.

GEMINI (May 21-June 21). When you give of your talents, you feel connected to others. You realize that you're a part of a cycle that will never stop. This knowledge should make you less self-conscious about your gifts.

CANCER (June 22-July 22). There is an animal inside of everyone. You're lucky to know about your animal — the sidestepping crab with a shiny red shell to deflect judgment. Tonight, you'll decide what needs to be done and do it.

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22). You do more than complete your work — you become your work. You and the job merge into one entity. This immersion may annoy your loved ones, however. Try and return to your former self, sans the job, before dinner.

TODAY'S BIRTHDAY (MAY 14). Decide what you want to happen in your life and don't rule anything out. Miracles big and small sparkle up your year. June brings personal growth through giving. A move is featured in July. You'll be enjoying a whole different set of circumstances in adventurous October. Virgo and Libra take the time to know and love you well. Your lucky numbers are: 10, 30, 25, 11 and 18.

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22). In order to take charge of a situation that's gone out of control, you must first recognize that things are indeed spinning off in the wrong direction. Take note of where you are so you can reel it closer to where you want to be.

LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 23). You gladly sublimate your own wishes to accommodate someone else's. Likely, this requires you to be calm, diffuse argument, and bury your ego — all easy tasks for a well-rounded person like yourself.

SCORPIO (Oct. 24-Nov. 21). You're in a daring mood. You're willing to jump off the high dive of life to feel that thrill of being airborne, even though such endeavors inevitably plunge you into the cold water of reality.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov.
22-Dec. 21). When you don't need help, it's offered like crazy. Now that you do need it, there are very few leads. Psych yourself into feeling powerful again. From that state, you'll attract all you need.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19). This is not time to invest in something risky, at least not on your own. If you have to spend money, consult the committee first, whether that be your accountant, your spouse or your business partner.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18). On the fence again? It's not a bad place to sit after all. You can see both sides of the story from there and make an educated decision. Take your time; the world will wait.

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20). You're being pressured to commit to a situation. Shake that pressure off — it's an illusion. There is no rush, only someone's ego trying to push you along. If you're not feeling certain, do nothing.

ASTROLOGICAL QUESTIONS: "My boyfriend, a Taurus, and I (a Scorpio) just broke up because I caught him having an affair again with his ex-girlfriend. We've been together for three years. Still, I want him back. Should I hold on and wait for him?"

The founder of a dating website recently said that singles are too easy to forgive people who lie to them, and that honesty is the most overlooked quality for creating successful relationships. This relationship needs honesty from you both. So why are you vulnerable to tolerating less than stellar behavior from another? As a Scorpio, sometimes you end up doing just that, to keep an intimate connection. Because while the ensuing drama, (jealousy, distrust, betrayal) is a poor substitution for intimacy, it does somewhat satisfy your need for passionate, soul-baring connection. One line of reasoning is dramatic connection is better than none. This is a relationship manhole for you. But Scorpio, you're also pretty wonderful at understanding the motives of yourself and others. So ask yourself (and then ask him), "What am I refusing to see here?" and "What will it take to restore and heal?" Hint: if he doesn't have answers, he's not worth waiting for.

CELEBRITY PROFILES: Taurus-born possess the artistic aesthetic of their ruling planet Venus, so they're captivating in a down-to-earth, poetic sort of way. Actress Amber Tamblyn started her career on soap operas, but her other calling is as a poet. With the moon in the dual sign of Gemini, two careers might best suit Amber's needs.
