Horoscopes by Holiday for April 7

With today's Taurus moon and Aries sun, our possessions are a measure of self-worth, and that's OK. Whether you have a beautiful voice, a stunning painting or a successful business, nurturing assets is a good thing. Not because we really "own" them at all, but by honoring what we have and do naturally, we have more to offer the world.

ARIES (March 21-April 19). To get the good stuff out of a relationship, you have to delve deeply into it. You'll be drawn to someone who is hard to figure out. It's well worth the effort it takes to build trust with this one.

TAURUS (April 20-May 20). Teamwork not only makes your day go faster, it makes it more fun. So even if you don't think you need help, ask anyway. You'll be surprised how this changes the trajectory of your day.

GEMINI (May 21-June 21). The quality of attention you give others is a gift. Choose a recipient who can appreciate the value in it. Tonight, you'll toast someone you admire greatly. On another night, this person will be toasting you.

CANCER (June 22-July 22). Does anyone share your opinion? It doesn't matter to you! You're fearless in letting others know what you think either way. If you seem to be in the minority now, this will change as you continue to share your story.

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22). You lay the foundation of friendship now, and it's a solid one. It takes a lot more work to make it something you can live inside. You'll be building the rest of this monument in the months to come.

TODAY'S BIRTHDAY (April 7). You're so powerful this year that it's like you can control time itself. You learn and do more in the next year than many people would do in 10. Believe in your powers to exceed the norm. Financial opportunity requires you to be bold in June. Educate yourself, and then dive in. In October, you'll hear wedding bells. Scorpio and Sagittarius adore you. Your lucky numbers are: 9, 25, 41, 20 and 50.

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22). You can't possibly give too much of your time to the one you love. The beauty of a relationship is that it will never again be like it is now. Rearrange your schedule to make more room for the people you adore.

LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 23). For a few glorious hours, you'll feel you've mastered the art of timing. Remember that feeling when it gets hectic. What seems urgent might not be important in the least. Center yourself.

SCORPIO (Oct. 24-Nov. 21). This day is not about hitting your groove.
There is no groove when you're reaching, pushing your luck, trying, failing, and trying again. You're doing the work it takes to be great.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21). You have a set of preferences, ways you'd like the world to be, and it would be so much better if the world would comply. Alas, the world didn't get your memo, and so you'll have to catch them up one person at a time.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19). Someone is making it OK for you to follow your whims. Do not miss the opportunity here. Seize this rare chance to do what seems to have no other purpose or merit except that it pleases you.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18). Colleagues you've worked with for a long time keep you grounded. And the new ones keep it fresh. Try and keep a good mix of characters around you now. This might mean including someone for the first time.

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20). Sometimes you like to be seen, heard and noticed. Other times, you'd rather hide out and watch others. You'll have both opportunities today and will enjoy the contrast.

ASTROLOGICAL QUESTIONS: "I just moved into a new house, and I'm a Taurus, so obviously I'm eager to interior decorate! Do you have any ideas for me?"

Yes! In my new book, "Rock Your Stars," I share all kinds of tips to turn your pad into a virtual heaven on Earth. Taurus: Home is where you chill your Veuve Clicquot. It's your opulent palace, even if it's only a studio apartment. It's where you stash your diamonds and lavish in extra-long baths. You hope visitors will be impressed by a few high-end designer items you've collected over the years. But style doesn't have to be costly, which is why it's perfectly reasonable to draw on the energy of a resourceful Scorpio, for instance — to strike a balance between elegance and extravagance. Attending a swap meet (in Beverly Hills) throws Scorpio energy toward Taurus without breaking your budget. Really, anyone can invoke the energy of any other sign, depending on the aim. For example, if you want to lose weight, pull Aries' high energy into your kitchen by painting it red. The point is, no need to Taurusize your whole house. Instead, customize it to suit your needs.

CELEBRITY PROFILES: Aries sun signs are not lonelier than any other, but they have a real need to act independently on the impulses, thoughts and desires originating from themselves alone. Claire Danes has said, "Acting is the greatest answer to my loneliness that I have found." This year's birthday gift sends loneliness packing as the stars set Claire's romantic life abuzz.
