Horoscopes By Holiday for March 2

The mutable Pisces sun kind of shuffles his feet during this time of year: Ho-hum, what to do … After all, winter's almost over, and it's not yet spring. But today's Capricorn moon materializes an agenda, bringing focus to our moods — with bullet points. Some of us are amazed by what we can finish up while just puttering around!

ARIES (March 21-April 19). The stars highlight your conflicting attitudes on a topic. Your versatile point of view doesn't mean you're wishy-washy, it means you're intelligent! Other intelligent people appreciate your stance (or lack thereof).

TAURUS (April 20-May 20). You're not one to complain, but what's not to your satisfaction becomes a topic of conversation now. Just be sure you're discussing this with the one who can actually do something about it. Otherwise, it's called complaining.

GEMINI (May 21-June 21). Family dynamics promise to push you in interesting emotional directions. Luckily you're empowered, undaunted — even cheerful. Disposition, not circumstances, is what makes for a pleasant environment.

CANCER (June 22-July 22). Embrace whimsy. Accept that not everything has to make sense. When you're not trying to make sense of it, organize it or force it to be what you thought it would, life's mystery becomes understandable.

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22). If you've tried and failed, now is your time to try again — and perhaps fail again, but you'll fail even better than the last time. This is the road to sweet success, and you are on your way.

TODAY'S BIRTHDAY (March 2). You're footloose and fancy free this year! A promotion in the next three weeks makes you feel like royalty. Your love luck is unbeatable in September when you meet a kindred spirit with an open heart. Traveling in a group is featured in June — a once in a lifetime experience. You're especially inspired by Libra and Sagittarius. Your lucky numbers are: 5, 26, 36, 43 and 11.

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22). How you regard someone close to you is the topic of the day. Love is not blind. Infatuation is blind, but that's not what you're in now. Love sees more. It sees both what is and the potential of what will be.

LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 23). Altruistic acts not only promote good karma but also help you to make fast friends. You'll fill in the social calendar with future engagements. Capricorn and Pisces are fun to include.

SCORPIO (Oct. 24-Nov. 21). Lessons center around the power of imagination.
Spend more time projecting a fabulous outcome, especially regarding negotiations and deals that must be worked by the week's end.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21). You and a loved one speak two different languages — languages that share words in common, but those words have radically different definitions. Try not to assume — ask questions, and be more specific.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19). You hear (ad nauseam) about the amazing accomplishments of others. There's no need to compare yourself, and there's no benefit to be had by doing so, either. You're in a league of your own.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18). Most people would find it difficult to balance 1.6 million things in their heads at once, but you're not most people, and this is not like most days. Something creative and special comes out of this astounding mental activity.

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20). When you tell yourself to do something, you do it. By this time next month, you'll have pulled a major goal to you. Concentrate on building your team and increasing your number of fans.

FORECAST FOR THE WEEK AHEAD: This week's Pisces new moon sings the timeless John Lennon song, "You may say I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one." Under the influence Pisces consciousness, we're all apart of a unified dream; if you can imagine or dream it, anything's possible. Who are you anyhow? You are part of a larger interrelated identity. According to scientists, we're clusters of molecules, and from the sun's perspective, we're flecks of dust. From a spiritual perspective, we no more resemble the clothes we wear than the cars we drive. Underneath, we're the same. This week, it's possible to glimpse our shared essence. Through dignifying one another with kindness, reverence and compassion we tap the power of grace. Since Uranus has entered Pisces, many of us realize that by striving for and achieving the things we all want — love, happiness, freedom from suffering, peace — we potentially affect the consciousness of everyone. We also "think globally and act locally." Consider that we don't just make up the whole, we are also the whole.

CELEBRITY PROFILES: Chris Martin, rock star extraordinaire, is an amphibious Pisces and an ambidextrous creative, meaning he can use either hand to write. Ambidexterity is not exclusive to Pisceans, but they are adaptive creative types. Cross- dominance comes in "handy" for different technical crafts and sports for which flexibility helps, and I bet Chris finds this skill advantageous, musically.
