Keep Your Bagged Food Fresh

Comment

_It's a new kitchen accessory that solves the common problem of maintaining tightly sealed bags to keep in freshness.

Uniquely designed plastic tools, the new Pull Ties simply slip over any bag top and crimp the opening shut. They lock in freshness and keep air out. Pull Ties are simple to use and work much better than typical food clips, twist ties or plastic clamps.

Pull Ties work on many types of plastic bags, such as those used for breads, cereals, _chips, frozen foods and many other snacks. Pull Ties can hold up to 15 pounds; they can be used outside the kitchen to keep bags and sacks from spilling in garages, laundry rooms and more._ _The Pull Tie is a 4.75-inch elongated loop with a stopper that slides from_ one end to the other. To seal a bag, simply slip the bag top into the_ loop and then press the release button on the stopper to slide it up for a _tight seal. Letting go of the release button allows the stopper to stay_ securely in place, until the bag is ready to be opened again._ _The Pull Ties are light but sturdy, and they have been designed to be dishwasher_ and freezer safe. They also come with a convenient storage ring to keep _unused Pull Ties in one place.

A set of 10 Pull Ties comes in five bright colors and retails for $13 plus shipping and handling. For more information and to see a video of how Pull Ties work, visit www.pullties.com.

TOTALLY BAMBOO

Due to the nature of its adhesives, you have always washed your bamboo cutting board by hand.

But with Totally Bamboo's new GreenLite series, you don't have to wash them by hand anymore.

These cutting boards are made from organically cultivated bamboo and are free from formaldehyde adhesives, dyes or stains. The construction uses a food-grade adhesive, which withstands the dishwasher's high temperatures without compromising durability.

Along with saving water, time and effort in the kitchen, they are lightweight. While bamboo is a natural choice for cutting boards with its inherent anti-bacterial qualities and durability, old-style boards tend to be thick and heavy.

The new GreenLite products are just 3/8 of an inch thick, but they are as durable as thicker boards. Available in a wide variety of shapes and sizes, GreenLite products sell between $10 and $35.

Also new, Totally Bamboo offers a Tropical Series of Cutting and Serving boards. Great for parties or everyday use, these fun designs sport creative and tropical inlay designs on shapes, including surfboards, pineapples and ukuleles. The Tropical Series items retail between $13 and $25.

The bamboo used in Totally Bamboo products is not only beautiful, but it's also renewable.
