Richland (D6787)The 1,333-square-foot Richland (D6787) is versatile home because it's narrow and will fit those odd-shaped lots. The three-bedroom, two-bathroom house is the perfect size for a first-time homeowner or the empty nester. It has good eye appeal from the street with its clean lines, large windows and a two-car garage that does not protrude too far beyond the rest of the home. Crossing the covered porch, the entry to the Richland is a small alcove with a coat closet on the left. Straight forward is the great room with the bedrooms to the left. The great room has a large fireplace on the rear wall with a window on each side, overlooking the backyard. Sliding glass doors open to a covered porch in the rear. A large dining area and kitchen complete the great room. In the right front corner, the kitchen has an "L"-shaped counter with a pantry on the end, along with an island containing dual sinks and an eating bar. It is open and faces the main great room. Stairs to an optional basement are across from the kitchen. If finished, the basement could have 1,333 square feet of usable space. The bedrooms are located on each side of the home.
Behind the two-car garage, with shelter from the noise of the street, is the master suite. The main suite area is in the rear and has coffered ceilings. Through the master bath, which has a single sink and a tub, is an elongated walk-in closet. Three windows spaced around the suite provide great light for the room; the spread-out windows make it easy to place furniture. The utility room is adjacent to the master suite and just off the kitchen. A door in the hall shuts the room off from the rest of the home, whereas a door to the garage makes easy access for unloading groceries and packages.
