Jeannie's Cottage (409-18)Charming and quaint, the one-bedroom, one-bath Jeannie's Cottage (409-18) has the traditional look of a farmhouse. The two-story home is outfitted with a covered wraparound porch, dormers over the great room and a loft upstairs on either side of the home. Over the entry are large half-moon windows. Instead of a traditional garage, this cottage has a carport on the end. Upon entry to the 1432-square-foot Jeannie's Cottage, you land directly in the great room. A corner wood stove with large windows down the same wall brightens this cozy room. Shelves line one wall — great for displaying china or trophies. To the left of the entry are the dining area and the kitchen. An island with an eating bar separates the great room from the kitchen. The counters are L-shaped, and a large window is situated over the sink. A pantry is at the end of the counter behind folding doors. To bring to mind yesteryears, the full bath has a claw-foot tub with a bench at the end. This stands adjacent to the master suite and utility. The master suite has a built-in desk, wall closet and large windows. The utility room is huge and spacious. It has a sink with a folding counter, as well as a drying rod for clothes; coat hooks hang on one wall.
Opposite the bathroom are a linen closet and the stairs to the loft. This is a brilliantly lit room with the two dormers and a full row of windows at one end. This could be used as another bedroom, a kid's room, playroom, or for the budding artist, a room ideally lit to paint those pictures. Overall, Jeannie's Cottage would make a great vacation home or a home for the retired couple. It boasts a generous amount of open living space with so many extra features.
