About Jim Parks
Jim Parks is the veteran host of the remodeling show "New Spaces," which has enjoyed a run of nearly eight years on HGTV, “turning eyesores into eye-popping examples of great remodels.” Because of the national television exposure, Jim crisscrosses the country as a guest speaker at scores of home & garden expos, where he presents seminars called Update My Kitchen! and an exciting live game show called HomeOwner Quiz-O-Rama.His exposure has continued into print, where he’s authored the column "HomeOwner Helper" for magazines in Chicago, Texas, North Carolina and Connecticut.
Jim is also the creator, writer and producer for Dr. D’s Birds & Bees Video Show, a series of animated sex-education videos that educate children ages 8-12. (The series, still widely in use after 20 years of distribution, is considered a sex-education classic.)
Jim’s experience in media hosting, writing and production – and his concern for the environment -- have merged in the creation of "Today’s Green Minute," the daily report of good news about America’s active green movement.
