Her notion was to provide a way for younger people to recognize the contributions of older people. The Fall of Quebec: Tomorrow also marks the 250th anniversary of the Battle of the Plains of Abraham, when the British forced the French out of Canada. Both opposing generals died in the battle. Generations later, the battle is still a touchy subject in Quebec, where popular pressure forced the cancellation of a reenactment of the battle this year.
