LYNDA HIRSCH ON SOAPS -- SUMMARY

ALL MY CHILDREN: The judge rules that Ryan and Annie will share custody of Emma, who will be spending alternate weeks with each of her parents, with the first week being spent with Annie. Colby pretends to have a change of heart toward Annie but remains privately determined to get her out of Adam's life. JR refuses to help Colby sabotage Annie and makes it clear that he'll never reconcile with Adam. Greenlee convinces David and Dr. Clayton to move forward with her surgery. Greenlee suffers a crisis during the operation, but thoughts of Ryan pull her through. Greenlee tells David she'll make sure he's painted as a hero for saving her life and was only following her wishes by keeping her hidden for the past year. Tad takes Liza to Confusion to cheer her up after a run-in with Colby and they end up in a kiss on the dance floor. Gayle figures out that David isn't Trevor's father. Randi can barely hide her bitterness when Erica hires Madison to be her personal assistant, a position that's above Randi's. Ryan decides to help Erica run Fusion. Liza, Colby and Scott race into the parlor to find a barely dressed Annie standing over Adam, who's suffered a heart episode due to Annie's sexy dance.

SNEAK PEEK: David's lies are exposed.

AS THE WORLD TURNS: Janet tells Jack she's ready to fight for their marriage. Liberty learns she has leukemia. Janet prays in the chapel as Dusty comforts her. He assures her this isn't divine retribution for their affair. Dusty gives Janet the strength to break the news to Liberty. Clarissa tries to convince Simon to complete the real estate scam, but Simon knows he'll have to disappear and he doesn't want to leave Oakdale. Katie admits to Simon that she cares for him. Katie's incredulous when Simon admits he's OK with that and is prepared to stay. Clarissa tells Simon he's pathetic for wanting to settle down in a boring town for a boring blonde. When Henry's gone, Katie tells Simon to leave town. She's sure he'll be bored of her soon, like Clarissa said. Simon tells Katie he loves her, but he'll leave if she wants him to. Katie tells him he should leave Oakdale, but she'll come with him. Susan and Paul wonder if Mick's injections caused Emily's coma. Barbara discovers Mick's responsible for Emily's condition. Lily learns that Holden and Molly are an item. Lily tells Damian she's ready to go away with him.

SNEAK PEEK: A not-so-moving experience.

BOLD AND BEAUTIFUL: Still hurt from Katie leaving him the night before, Bill puts his sword necklace back on. Katie returns home to an emotionally closed-off Bill and attempts to reconcile with him. Bill and Katie arrive back at Forrester as a united front, which surprises everyone, especially Steffy. After their last failed attempt to take back the company, the Forresters attempt to devise another plan of attack. Katie witnesses an affectionate moment between Steffy and Bill. Not everyone is happy when Hope announces that she has been granted an internship at Forrester Creations. Steffy voices her concern about Hope joining the company to Ridge and Taylor. Ridge is caught in the crossfire when Steffy, Taylor and Brooke argue about which family members should work at Forrester Creations and plead with him to make the decision. With revenge on her mind, Katie underhandedly creates a new campaign idea and passes it off as Hope's. Katie later tells her sisters that she forgives them for their betrayal, but she isn't ready to forgive Steffy. Steffy makes her presentation for her concept of a new ad campaign and is surprised when Hope enters with her own presentation: the one that she and Katie created. Major resentment ensues when Katie chooses Hope's campaign over Steffy's. The competition between Hope and Steffy sparks conflict between Brooke and Taylor. Sandy makes an emotional confession to Whip about her attack and his part in it. Stephanie informs Ridge that Taylor is dating someone.

DAYS OF OUR LIVES: Maggie is stunned by Mickey's sudden death.

Lucas and Maggie bond over the tragedy. Later, Maggie urges Melanie to go to Vegas and get married — she should hold onto the man she loves. Nathan witnesses the moment and thanks Melanie for being so kind to Maggie. They share a spontaneous kiss. After consummating their relationship, Carly tells Bo she loves him. Hope realizes Bo slept with Carly. Carly tries to bond with Melanie. Melanie and Phillip set a February wedding date. Arianna overhears Chloe tell Daniel that Brady likes to rescue women. Al succeeds in pulling off his "robbery" attempt and is just about to kill Arianna when Brady rides in to the rescue. While Arianna is appreciative, she is sure she could have handled it on her own. She is still unsettled by the notion that Brady wants to "save" her. EJ lets Sami know that another ransom note has arrived. She makes the final decision not to include Rafe. However, when EJ and Sami go to drop off the ransom, they're discovered by Rafe.

SNEAK PEEK: Carly confronts Vivian.

GENERAL HOSPITAL: Jason rescues Sam, only to realize that he played into Franco's hands by being tricked into saving Sam at Lulu's expense. To everyone's relief, Dominic and Lulu stagger out of the rubble unharmed. Sonny credits Dominic for saving Lulu's life. Johnny realizes the body found in the wreckage at the warehouse is probably Claudia's. Kristina turns to Kiefer after her ordeal with Sonny and they have sex in his car. After returning home, Kristina tells Alexis there's no bond between her and her father and there never will be. Sonny warns Michael that Claudia's body may have been recovered. Jason knows Franco isn't through with him yet. Sonny tears into Jason for letting Franco get under his skin. Sonny tells Jason and Carly they all need to work together to protect Michael. Jason is adamantly opposed to Sonny's plan to implicate Franco for Claudia's murder. Ronnie confesses to Dominic that he and Franco had once been friends. Michael's temper flares when Kristina makes disparaging remarks about Sonny. Lucky struggles with his anger over Nikolas' admission that he's in love with Elizabeth. Robin takes Emma to London to visit Anna. Jax makes plans to take the family on a ski vacation.

ONE LIFE TO LIVE: Lowell is forced to dismiss the charges against John when Jessica, Brody, Marty and Cole all confess to having stabbed Mitch. Furious that Nora outmaneuvered him, Lowell fires John. Bo and John recruit Brody to be their inside man in the police department as they work to bring down Mitch and Dorian. Kim finagles an invitation from Clint to stay at Asa's mansion. Todd's temper flares when Cole asks Starr to move in with him. In Tahiti, Ross reveals himself to Danielle once she's alone. Tea's shocked to find Ross with Danielle. Ross is devastated to learn that Danielle tried to kill Todd. Shaken by the fact Danielle almost killed her own father, Ross reveals the truth and tells her she's Todd's daughter. Nora threatens to sell Asa's mansion when Clint tries to sue her for millions of dollars in damages in their divorce settlement. Kim convinces Clint to back down and drop his suit against Nora in exchange for keeping the mansion. Mitch tells Todd he can solve all his problems with Starr, implying he'd eliminate Cole permanently if Todd were to push Jessica in his direction. Realizing just how sick and twisted Mitch really is, Todd sends him packing.

SNEAK PEEK: Sisterly love.

YOUNG AND RESTLESS: Sharon, Ashley and Adam come home and realize Brad's house is on fire and that Noah is inside. Eden and Noah are taken to the hospital. Sharon realizes that Nick still blames her for the fire. Nick pushes Sharon too far when he accuses her of putting herself and Adam before Noah. Eden starts to think Daisy was the one who started the fire. Ashley invites Noah, Sharon and Adam to move to the ranch. When Ryder won't divulge any information about the woman in the alley, Kevin tells him he needs to pack up his stuff and leave. Adam realizes he is now in over his head with both Ashley and Sharon in the same home with baby Faith. Dr. Taylor warns Adam that he plans to tell Ashley and Sharon the truth. Jo-Jo refuses when Kay tells her that they need to take a DNA test. Kay decides to swap Chancellor stock in exchange for controlling interest in Cell Tron. Tucker and Jill decide to try to convince Cane to come back to Chancellor Industries. Lily and Cane tell Malcolm that they are having a baby, and Malcolm is thrilled that he is going to be a grandfather.
