Gossip - Week of July 10, 2010You can't keep a bad boy down. Deacon Sharpe returns to "Young and Restless" in mid July. Last time we saw Deacon, he was causing trouble on "Bold and Beautiful." Deacon had a one-night stand with Victoria, which ended her marriage to J.T. He also has a few scores to settle with his ex-girlfriend and mother of his child. Also headed to "Young and Restless" is Sean Young. The actress will play barmaid Maggie. The movie star had a bit of a soap opera life in real life. One time, she showed up at a Hollywood studio dressed as Catwoman. She wasn't even up for the role. Young's next print experience was with her not-so-sunny romance with actor James Woods. Each claimed the other was a stalker. And there were charges of baby dolls with blood and strangled necks being left on doorsteps. When Vanessa Marcil (Brenda) returns to "General Hospital," she will have a sidekick. Adrienne Barbeau, who played Carol on the hit sitcom "Maude," will know a lot about Brenda's past, and she is not one to keep quiet. Stacey Haiduk (Emily/Patty) on "Y&R" was not only robbed of an Oscar nomination; she was robbed of her job.
When David Canary decided to stop playing Stuart/Adam on "All My Children," he didn't say he was giving up acting. Canary gets to show his comedic side on "Curb Your Enthusiasm." The HBO show always had great stories and characters. No air date yet for Canary's episodes. Nancy Lee Grahn just signed a four-year contract with "GH." Grahn is delighted, as are her cast mates. Before joining "GH" years ago, Grahn's acting career was not doing very well. Not one to let things happen around her, Grahn began writing scripts for "GH."
