As you bravely go forward, consider picking up one of the goals you abandoned over the past three months, and give it another chance. You'll probably notice that your energy is better now and so is the timing.

ARIES (March 21-April 19). Pick up on the conversational pointers that people lob into your court today. You have the potential to make new friends by listening to the clues people give you and responding in a way that lets them know they've been heard.

TAURUS (April 20-May 20). Express your feelings on paper. Write about the problem from your point of view. Then write about it from the other person's point of view. Your understanding expands. The exercise will release stuck energy.

GEMINI (May 21-June 21). You will influence your family or another group. You quite naturally synchronize your body language, tone of voice and energy level with that of the others in the group, and they feel an instant rapport with you.

CANCER (June 22-July 22). You're in the brainstorming stage of a project. There are no wrong answers. Keep the energy flowing. The more ideas and input you can get the better. Ignore the pernicious desire to edit yourself.

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22). It's not enough that someone sticks around out of love for you. That's what's called the "status quo," and it's never been enough for you. You need to know you are appreciated in concrete terms.

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22). You have compassion for the one who is trying to get your attention by pouting, preening, showing off and emanating a generally immature energy. You used to try these antics, too, when you were a child.

LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 23). Successful people know the simple truth: People are more interested in themselves than they are in anyone else. You deflect all questions by bringing the conversation back to the other person. They love you for it.

FORECAST FOR THE WEEK AHEAD: Greek mythology, from whence we get the names of many planets and the story of several constellations, doesn't always tell a straight story. Scholars often offer an array of options as to which god did what and why, and even when they do agree on a story line, sometimes it still doesn't make much sense to those of us accustomed to modern plot conventions. Such is the case with the tale of the ram with the Golden Fleece. This story associated with Aries is more befuddling than reading a message board in response to episode 28 of "Lost." Suffice it to know that for whatever reason, this magical, flying Aries creature had what everyone wanted, and the gods, goddesses, monsters and mortals were willing to fight for it. This week, as the sun is just beginning to explore the vitality of Aries, consider what it is that you would be willing to fight the monsters for. What golden goal is exciting enough to stir your passion and motivate your courageous journey? For a good part of the week, the sun and Mars are at an auspicious angle, helping along those heated pursuits.

CELEBRITY PROFILES: In the recent dark comedy "Wonderful World," Matthew Broderick plays a pessimistic children's folk singer.
