Tom Sturridge To Join Pal Rob Pattinson as Leading Big-Screen Dreamboat in '11?/Overindulge? Here Are Some Off-Beat Celeb Workouts

Will 2011 be the year that Tom Sturridge joins his close pal Robert Pattinson as a leading big-screen dreamboat? That's what some movie insiders are predicting, with the 25-year-old British actor of "Vanity Fair" and "Pirate Radio" fame coming up with back-to-back films of interest this year, including the highly anticipated adaptation of Jack Kerouac's "On the Road" with Kristen Stewart and Garrett Hedlund.

First, however, there is the February release, "Waiting for Forever," in which Sturridge plays a street performing juggler who chases after the love of his life, "The O.C.'s" Rachel Bilson. The cast also includes "The Vampire Diaries'" Matthew Davis, "Eurotrip's" Scott Mechlowicz, Blythe Danner, Nikki Blonsky and Richard Jenkins.

"It's hard to describe. It's somewhere between a love story and a quirky kind of comedy. It will make you laugh and cry, the same way as 'My Big Fat Greek Wedding' or 'Little Miss Sunshine,'" claims Jane Seymour. "It's a different kind of movie, and you can't put it in a genre."

How does she know? It so happens that the star of "Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman" fame is one of the producers of "Waiting for Forever" — which was directed by her husband, James Keach.

"We're incredibly proud of it," she says.

Seymour does not have a role in "Waiting for Forever," but she's going to be highly visible on the big and small screens in the new year. First, there's her Hallmark Channel original movie, "Perfectly Prudence" coming up Saturday (1/8) — the movie that reunites her with her "Dr. Quinn" leading man, Joe Lando, in a romantic comedy that also stars her daughter, Katie Flynn, with a fun cameo by hubby Keach. Seymour returns to her popular character as television do-it-yourself maven Prudence McCoy, with Lando as a producer charged with revamping her show against her will.

Seymour also recently completed filing the indie drama "Lake Effects," with Scotty Thompson and Madeline Zima.

Also: "I did a movie with Adam Duritz of Counting Crows called 'Freeloaders,'" she notes, referring to the comedy about a gang of hangers-on enjoying the life at their rock star buddy's luxurious mansion — till he sells. (That feature also stars Olivia Munn, Clifton Collins Jr. and Dave Foley.)

"And I did a movie called 'Love, Wedding, Marriage' with Mandy Moore and Jim Brolin. That's a wonderful comedic turn. I'm really excited about that one," continues Seymour, who is also in the limited release "The Assistant," in which she sports a short blond wig. "So I have a lot of movies."

Does she ever sleep?

She laughs. "I sleep very well."

THE SHAPE OF THINGS TO COME: Overindulge over the holidays? Need to get back into shape? Here are a few ideas from celebrities whose fitness regimes are anything but same old, same old.

Former Supreme Mary Wilson looks supremely beautiful and youthful due in part, she says, to "Bikram yoga — the hot yoga. It's a strenuous workout." Hot indeed. Followers do a series of postures and breathing exercises in a room heated to 105 degrees Fahrenheit. Wilson also says she drinks a lot of water — good thing!

Madonna is said to be a devotee of ashtanga yoga in conjunction with a strict macrobiotic diet.

Gwyneth Paltrow, who is also into yoga, has been quoted as saying she's a fan of the Blood Type diet.

Jennifer Lopez has been involved with krav maga, the Israeli self-defense system. Krav maga is said to be a great cardio workout and good for concentration.

Pop star Kylie Minogue keeps fit via vigorous rehearsals for dance routines for her shows — and has used a low-glycemic diet.

Of course, those same-old, same-old regimes do work. Like Usher's 1,000 crunches a day, Ashley Judd's hiking and rock climbing in conjunction with a vegetarian diet, and Colin Farrell's back-to-basics approach — running, push-ups, squats and arm curls. More exercise, less food. Does it every time.

EXAMPLES: With her work on Headline News and her syndicated "Swift Justice" show competing for her attention, Nancy Grace says she goes to great lengths to ensure she has time with her 3-year-old twins, Lucy and John. "They set up a nursery for me at the studio," she tells us. "Everything is set up for them to come to work with me." She adds, "I was proud my mom worked, and I want them to be proud of me, too."
