RELEASE: SATURDAY, JULY 2-3, 2011DEAR STACY: We never see Andy Rooney on "60 Minutes" these days. The program has had big sendoffs for others who have left, but not for him. What's going on? — Ken G., Newark, N.J. DEAR KEN: Rooney, 92, hasn't had a big sendoff because, as of this writing, he has not left. He still contributes occasional opinion pieces to "60 Minutes." However, I understand that in recent times, news-related stories have often bumped them. Still, the man gets kudos for career longevity — 69 years! His first journalism job was in 1942, writing for The Stars and Stripes in London during World War II. DEAR STACY: Huge "Friday Night Lights" fan. What is the lovely Connie Britton doing now? — S.M., Canton, Ohio DEAR S.M.: She is going from production on the big-screen "Knife Fight' political drama with Rob Lowe to starring in the forthcoming FX series "American Horror Story." The latter is from former "Nip/Tuck" executive producers and current "Glee" co-creators/executive producers Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk.
