Teen star Demi Lovato says she enjoys the celebrity whirl occasionally — like getting all glammed up and hitting Vanity Fair's and Elton John's Oscar night parties with her beau, Joe Jonas, and his brothers. However, "I feel like, it's fun for me, but it's just as much fun to go to In-N-Out and a movie with my friends," says the 17-year-old.

She goes on: "My love and my fun is making music and making movies and TV shows. For me, it's more about the art than the glamour of going to parties and seeing other celebrities."

This season of her "Sonny with a Chance" sitcom finds Lovato's alter ego, sketch comedy show star Sonny Munroe, getting "more comfortable being in Hollywood. She's used to it a little bit, and dealing with paparazzi and tabloids and thing like that."

In that regard, Sonny is "definitely more relatable to me personally than other characters I've played," Lovato says. She also says, "I feel like she's grown up a lot but stayed the same bubbly, down-to-earth girl."

Bubbly Lovato embarks on a three-continent concert tour with those Jonas boys in July. It's the "Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam" tour in advance of the sequel to 2008's No. 1 cable entertainment hit, the Disney Channel's "Camp Rock." "Camp Rock 2" won't premiere until September, but there'll be a slew of "Camp Rock"-related business coming our way sooner, starting with an iTouch/iPhone/iPad app debuting May 11.

OUT OF THE MOUTHS OF: E! Entertainment Television sensation Kendra Wilkinson tells us that her background as a Playboy mansion habitue has come in handy with her and hubby Hank Baskett's 5-month-old son, Hank IV. "Being that party girl of a couple of years ago, up all hours of the night — believe it or not, those days paid off," she informs. "If I can be at a club till 4 o'clock in the morning, I can get up and feed my baby at 4 o'clock." Of course!

Even fortified with such wee-hours know-how, the personality who rose to fame as one of Hugh Hefner's girlfriends on "The Girls Next Door" admits that sometimes the stress of new motherhood and marriage shows. In her second season of "Kendra," viewers have seen a lot of drama, she notes, and "more crying." Still, "I have 95 percent control over what is shot and what isn't," she points out. "I'm very hands-on with what is filmed and what isn't.

Knowing yourself and knowing what mood you're in at the time is the thing, and you've got to know your character. Hank and I aren't perfect people. We fight, you know; we get agitated. There are times when we do ask them politely, 'Hey, do you mind if we shut down for a little while?'"

FROM THE INSIDE LOOKING OUT: Watch out, Regis. Celebrity stylist and design expert Robert Verdi tells us he would just l-o-v-e to sit in for you sometime and co-host your show with Kelly Ripa. He certainly has a big, bright personality to bring to the task. Right now, Verdi is amassing an avid following with his "The Robert Verdi Show Starring Robert Verdi" LOGO series that merges comedy with reality as he goes about his busy days with his staff of helpers and armada of colorful friends. "It's not as popular as 'Dancing With the Stars,' but those who watch it are crazy about it," he declares. "I love that it has a real cult following."

With such shows as "Fashion Police" and "She's Got the Look" to his credit, does Verdi find that, doing a show on his own — "I can ruin my career all by myself?" he interjects helpfully. "No, it's very fun to be doing something that I have a real stake in and an emotional investment. It's a completely different experience than when I'm not on the production side."

As far as whether the Robert Verdi we see on screen is much like the real-life Verdi, he says, "I'm the same way; it's just a torqued-up version of it. In real life, there are breaks from the wild and outrageous moments. I'm too much — but I'm not that much."

The bald-headed Verdi was on hand at New York's Union Square this week with Kristen Bell, doing makeovers on three ladies involved in Dress for Success. That's the nonprofit that gives women in need both clothing and style tools to help advance their careers. Marshalls supplied the outfits plus a $5,000 spring wardrobe. He also helped fulfill a Make-a-Wish patient's dream of being photographed like a supermodel. Such activities, he notes, "add some meaning to the craziness."

THE BIG-SCREEN SCENE: Funny guys Rory Albanese and John Oliver from "The Daily Show" landed a feature deal — but it's going to be awhile before audiences get to see what they have up their sleeves for the big screen. According to Albanese, they're "working on a side movie project, but everything's on the backburner because of the show. We work on it in our free time. We can't make any specific deadline promises until we know we have the time to block out to do it. We have enough deadlines right now."
