DEAR STACY: Please give some information about Sandra Lee of "Semi-Homemade Cooking" and "Sandra's Money Saving Meals." What is her background? Did she go to cooking school? Married, children? — Nancy J., Clinton, Iowa

DEAR NANCY: That's the first girlfriend of New York you're talking about; Lee, 45, is also known as the significant other of New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo. She was born in Los Angeles and raised in Washington state and Wisconsin. Her mother was often bedridden, and Sandra reportedly became a surrogate mom to her four younger siblings. She studied marketing at the University of Wisconsin and proved her talent for business and clever corner-cutting right away with a wire rigging contraption she built that allowed users to create window treatments without any sewing. Her Kurtain Kraft device became a huge hit at the L.A. County Fair and led to her patented home decorating kit and do-it-yourself product line, and by her mid-20s, the former waitress had a $20 million business. Lee, also the author of best-selling cookbooks and decorating books, moved from Los Angeles, where she had spent 20 years, to Manhattan after her split from her ex-husband, former KB Home chieftain Bruce Karatz (who recently was convicted of stock manipulation).

Active in several charities, she doesn't have children but is said to spend a lot of time with Cuomo's three teenage daughters. She took a course at Le Cordon Bleu but didn't finish it.

DEAR STACY: Can you tell me a little about Jon Stewart's personal life? Wife, kids, etc. — Toni D., New Port Richey, Fla.

DEAR TONI: "The Daily Show" star wedded longtime girlfriend Tracey McShane in 2000. She gave birth to their first child, Nathan Thomas Stewart, in 2004. Daughter Maggie Rose was born in 2006. The 48-year-old native New Yorker also reportedly has two pit bull terriers and a cat.

DEAR STACY: My cousin had a DVD from the first season of "WKRP in Cincinnati," and the music was all changed. He says that's the only DVD release that's been made. Why? It was a great show. — P.L., Santa Ana, Calif.

DEAR P.L.: The vintage sitcom is full of music from the likes of Ted Nugent, Foreigner, Elton John and the Eagles, and costs to license the original music for home video viewing are prohibitively high. And so it sits.

DEAR STACY: Whatever happened to Victor French, Mr. Edwards from "Little House on the Prairie"? — Karen T., Canton, Ohio

DEAR KAREN: A heavy smoker, veteran actor French succumbed to lung cancer at age 54 in 1989.
