Ask Stacy - Week of October 16, 2010DEAR STACY: How tall is Cat Deeley? She seems to tower over the contestants on "So You Think You Can Dance." Also, is she married, how old is she, and can you tell about her background? — G.G., Canton, Ohio DEAR G.G.: The 33-year-old television hostess, disc jockey and actress has been reported as 5'10" tall. She hails from Birmingham, UK, and first came to the public's attention as a teenage fashion model. Although she has had a couple of long-term relationships, she is single. Her delight in appearing on live TV began in England, where she honed her skills doing a morning show where she put in "three hours live, 52 weeks a year for six years," as she described it. Now it seems Deeley could pop up anywhere — like guest hosting on "Regis & Kelly," which she has done. Or hosting Simon Cowell's "X Factor" when that British hit competition show makes its way to these shores. DEAR STACY: I really like the "Pit Boss" theme music. Sounds sort of like the '70s. Who does it and where can I find it? — Christopher T., Fort Worth, Texas DEAR CHRISTOPHER: That's British composer Keith Mansfield's "Funky Fanfare" that dates back to use for theatrical coming attractions in the 1960s.
DEAR STACY: Whatever became of Amy Locane, who was so great in "Cry-Baby" with Johnny Depp? — Rachel S., New York DEAR RACHEL: Locane, who is also remembered for her role in "School Ties," kept working, just not in the most high-profile of roles and projects. The veteran of TV's "One Life to Live," "Loving" and "Melrose Place," in addition to movie credits from "Airheads" to "Prefontaine," has a small part, for instance, in the 2002 "Secretary" — which made Maggie Gyllenhaal a star. DEAR STACY: Please settle a bet among friends. Did Garret Dillahunt of "Raising Hope" play Jesus Christ in a movie years ago? I say he did, but I can't remember the name. — Wendy W., Merced, Calif. DEAR WENDY: You're right, but it wasn't a movie. You're thinking of "The Book of Daniel," the ambitious but short-lived TV series of 2006.
