Ask Stacy - Week of November 13, 2010DEAR STACY: Please settle a trivial question. We now have "Skating With the Stars." Wasn't there a similar show before? — Haley G., Atlanta DEAR HALEY: You're thinking of the 2006 show "Skating With Celebrities," memorable for producing a scandal when celebrity Kristy Swanson was accused of breaking up the marriage of her professional partner, Olympic Bronze Medalist Lloyd Eisler. Swanson and Eisler had a son in 2007 and married last year. DEAR STACY: What is the very funny lady Katherine Helmond up to these days? Also, is she still with her much-younger husband? — Beverly C., Canton, Ohio DEAR BEVERLY: Yes, bless 'em, Helmond, 82, and her husband, David Christian, 72, are still together after 48 years! The red-haired actress of stage (she was a Tony nominee for "The Great God Brown"), film (including the cult fave "Brazil") and TV ("Everybody Loves Raymond," "Who's the Boss?," "Soap") continues to work. Recent TV outings include appearances on ABC Family's "Melissa & Joey" and A&E's "The Glades." She's currently working onstage in L.A.'s Elephant Theatre Company production of "The Little Flower of East Orange" — playing a family matriarch who must come to terms with a dark history of abuse.
DEAR STACY: Did any of the "America's Next Top Model" winners go on to fame and fortune other than reality show babe Adrianne Curry? — L.K., Santa Clarita, Calif. DEAR L.K.: While most of the "Top Model" winners have gone on to work regularly in print and runway shows, none is what you'd call household names. Season 2 winner Yoanna House's post-win work includes becoming host of the Style Network's "The Look for Less." Season 3's winner, Eva Pigford, is now an actress going by the name Eva Marcille, whose credits include a stint on daytime's "The Young and the Restless." DEAR STACY: The over-articulating pitchman who asks rhetorical questions ("Could switching to Geico...") in the Geico ads — who is he? He looks so familiar and yet, I can't place him. Very funny ads! — Ray S., New York DEAR RAY: That's actor and singer/songwriter Mike McGlone. His credits include such films as "The Brothers McMullen" and "She's the One," and he's been seen on TV in shows such as "Crash." He's done a lot of voiceover work as well.
