Ask Stacy - Week of June 26, 2010DEAR STACY: I watched the show "Pretty Little Liars" with my daughter and noticed one of the girls has the last name of Bellisario. Is she any relation to the producer who did "Quantum Leap"? Also, in "The Vampire Diaries," Steven R. McQueen plays Jeremy. Is he any relation to movie star Steve McQueen? — Sharon W., New York DEAR SHARON: Yes, Troian Avery Bellisario, is one of the daughters of super producer Don Bellisario ("Magnum, P.I.," "JAG," "NCIS," etc.). Her mother is actress Deborah Pratt. The 24-year-old actress, who plays Spencer on the ABC Family series, also appeared on "NCIS" as Sarah McGee, alongside Sean Murray, her stepbrother, in the role of Timothy McGee. Steven R. McQueen is the grandson of 1960s movie icon Steve. His father is actor Chad McQueen, mother is Stacey Toten, stepfather is hockey great Luc Robitaille. The dark-haired Steven R. played Kyle Hunter on "Everwood" and co-starred in the Disney Channel movie "Minutemen." DEAR STACY: How tall is wrestler babe Maria Kanellis and what are her measurements? She towered over everyone else on "Celebrity Apprentice." — Cole D., Casper, Wy. DEAR COLE: It must be platform shoes or maybe just her Diva presence that accounts for 28-year-old Kanellis seeming extra tall to you. She's actually 5'7". Her MySpace page lists her measurements as 34-25-34. DEAR STACY: Can you please give the name of the bouncy song used in the Amazon Kindle commercial that has the lyrics "you're the twinkle in my eye ... I couldn't love you more so let's go." Those commercials are my favorite on TV right now.
DEAR KENDRA: That's "Come On Let's Go" by Little & Ashley — L.A.-based duo Annie Little and Marcus Ashley. Their "Stole My Heart" and "Fly Me Away" grace Kindle spots as well. They won a contest to supply songs for the campaign last year. Pretty blonde Little is also an actress and model with some 40 commercials to her credit in addition to work on "Mad Men," "Scrubs" and other shows. Handsome brown-haired Ashley acts, too (credits include "Bones," "CSI: NY," the big-screen "Laurel Canyon" and some 50 commercial spots), in addition to performing with Los Angeles band American Weapon. DEAR STACY: I just heard that the little boy who played Michael in "Mary Poppins" died at a young age. Is this true, or another urban myth? If true, what was the cause? Thanks for clearing this up. — W.B., Allentown, Pa. DEAR W.B.: Matthew Garber, who portrayed young Michael Banks in the 1964 Disney classic, died at age 21 in 1977. The official cause was given as hemorrhagic necrotizing pancreatitis. His brother attributed the fatal ailment to Garber's having contracted hepatitis while traveling in India. DEAR STACY: Is it possible that a very young, uncredited Paul Newman appeared as a policeman in the Rita Hayworth movie "The Lady from Shanghai"? Watched the video a few days ago and if it wasn't Newman, it was a ringer. — David L., Chattanooga, Tenn. DEAR DAVID: The late, great Paul Newman was not in "The Lady from Shanghai." His first film was "The Silver Chalice," which was released in 1954. "The Lady from Shanghai" premiered in 1948, when Newman was still enrolled at Kenyon College.
