Ask Stacy - Week of January 1, 2011DEAR STACY: What's become of Lee Pace? His "Pushing Daisies" was an excellent show that should not have been canceled. — David C., Allentown, Pa. DEAR DAVID: For Pace, 2010 went down as a year of disappointment and success. He was all set to star in the much-talked-about prospective HBO series "The Miraculous Year," about a powerful New York family. But despite its impressive cast — including Susan Sarandon, Frank Langella, Linus Roache, Patty LuPone, Hope Davis and Eddie Redmayne, plus Kathryn Bigelow directing the pilot — the network opted not to move forward with the drama. However, Pace wound up being cast in the juicy role of Garrett, the American nomadic vampire, in "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn" Parts 1 and 2, due in November and in 2012, respectively. DEAR STACY: How old is "Supernanny" Jo Frost? Does she have any children of her own? — G.H., Reno, Nev. DEAR G.H.: The television personality who brought the world the Naughty Step will hit the big four-o in June.
DEAR STACY: Is Kirsten Nelson of "Psych" related to the late Ricky Nelson? — Miranda R., Taft, Calif. DEAR MIRANDA: No. Oklahoma-born, Chicago-raised Kirsten is not related to the Hollywood Nelson clan of "Ozzie and Harriet" fame. Although they are a generation apart, perhaps you have Ricky's ex-wife, the similarly named Kristin Nelson, on your mind. DEAR STACY: When is "Stargate Universe" coming back? — Pat O., Canton, Ohio DEAR PAT: The second 10 episodes of Season 2 of the Syfy series are due to begin airing in the spring. However, Syfy announced it will not pick up the show for a third season.
