Ask Stacy - Week of December 25, 2010DEAR STACY: Is "Mad Men" coming back for a fifth season? — Jeff K., Santa Monica, Calif. DEAR JEFF: Creator Matt Weiner is signed for a Season 5, but as of this writing, AMC has not committed to going ahead with the widely acclaimed, multiple Emmy-winning drama starring Jon Hamm as a 1960s ad man. It's one of those situations in which everyone loves a show but an apparently disinterested public, which keeps turning out in low numbers. DEAR STACY: When is the new "Muppet Movie" expected to come out? Who all is in the cast? As a long-time Muppet fan, I am really looking forward to this one. — Cathy S., Cleveland DEAR CATHY: The already much-anticipated new "The Muppets," from "Forgetting Sarah Marshall" moviemaker Jason Segel, is due Nov. 23, 2011. Muppet maniac Segel also stars with Amy Adams, Chris Cooper and Rashida Jones. The lineup of star cameos is Muppetacious, including Lady Gaga, Jack Black, Alan Arkin, Emily Blunt, Billy Crystal, John Krasinski, Wanda Sykes, Ed Helms, French Stewart, Donald Glover, Eric Stonestreet, Danny Trejo, Jean-Claude Van Damme, Zach Galifianakis, Ricky Gervais and Dave Grohl of Foo Fighters, sitting in with Doc's band for Animal as the latter attends anger management classes.
DEAR STACY: Whatever became of plans for Christina Applegate to play the late Elizabeth Montgomery of "Bewitched" in a movie about her life? — Jenna B., New Haven, Conn. DEAR JENNA: The hope was to get the feature, "Everything is Going to Be Just Fine," finished and into release this year. Obviously, it wasn't just fine, since the project is still in development and now listed as a 2011 release. They hope. And even though Applegate plays Montgomery in the flick, it's not about the actress. It's from the book by her friend and makeup-and-hair stylist Billy Clift's book, "Everything is Going to be Just Fine: The Ramblings of a Mad Hairdresser," and how Montgomery's death at 62, of colorectal cancer, started him on a journey of self-discovery, complete with shamanic visions.
