Can you tell me what she's been doing lately? — Leah G., Taft, CA DEAR LEAH: The "Species" actress is in the CW's fall-debuting "The Secret Circle" series, which has to do with a group of young witches. The show is based on the young-adult fantasy-romance series of novels written by L. J. Smith, who also wrote "The Vampire Diaries" books. DEAR STACY: What is William Shatner up to now that "$#*! My Dad Says" is off the air? — Gil H., Atlanta. DEAR GIL: The 80-year-old cultural icon has been pushing his documentary film, "The Captains," in which he interviews the other actors who played "Star Trek" captains.
DEAR STACY: Whatever became of Carrie Snodgress, who got an Oscar nomination for "Diary of a Mad Housewife?" Is she still with us? — Yolanda C., Santa Ana, CA DEAR YOLANDA: No. Snodgress died of heart and liver failure in 2004 at age 58 while awaiting a liver transplant. She had amassed many credits during her career. Her last project was cable's "Iron Jawed Angels," a movie about women's suffrage, which filmed after Snodgress took time away from the spotlight to raise her son (with Neil Young) Zeke, who was born with cerebral palsy.
