DEAR STACY: As a "Castle" fan, I've wondered about the origin of Stana Katic's name. Is she Eastern European? — Lynn R., Calabasas, Calif.

DEAR STACY: What was the final determination about the cause of death for pitchman Billy Mays? — Don W., Austin, Texas

DEAR DON: Hypertensive heart disease was the cause of the prolific and popular commercial actor's death at age 50 in June 2009. The matter of contention was the toxicology report released in August by the Hillsborough County, Fla., coroner's office stating that heart disease was the "primary cause of death" and cocaine was a "contributory cause." Mays' family disputed it, issuing a statement that they were disappointed in the report, and that "We believe it contains speculative conclusions that are frankly unnecessary and tend to obscure the conclusion that Billy suffered from chronic, untreated hypertension." They had an independent medical examination done that concluded that cocaine was "not a significant contributing factor" in his death.

DEAR STACY: Is it true that old-time Western star Roy Rogers had his trusty horse, Trigger, stuffed and put on display in his museum? So my brother says.

Yuck. — Marianne D., Cedar Rapids, Iowa

DEAR MARIANNE: Yes. Last year, the stuffed and mounted horse was sold to a TV station in Nebraska in a Christie's Auction of Roy Rogers memorabilia, as the late star's museum in Branson, Mo., closed down. You may "yuck" all you wish, but the horse sold for $266,500, and that ain't hay.
