DEAR STACY: Travis Fimmel ("Vikings") is soooooo hot! Please give some information about his background, marital status, etc. — Kellie L., Warren, Ohio

DEAR KELLIE: The 6-foot-tall, 33-year-old actor who portrays legendary Nordic plunderer Ragnar Lothbrok is familiar to TV fans from Patrick Swayze's "The Beast" in which he costarred as the rookie FBI agent working with the unorthodox older pro played by Swayze. The series shuttered production due to Swayze's pancreatic cancer and the star died three months later. Fimmel is also familiar as the star of a jaw-dropping Calvin Klein underwear campaign — so jaw-dropping, a billboard of him in London was removed due to a presumed threat of causing traffic accidents. He is said to be the inspiration for "Sex and the City's" eye candy man, Smith Jerrod. Fimmel hails from a small country town called Echuca, located between Melbourne and Sydney, where his parents have a 5,500-acre farm. The youngest of three brothers, he moved to Melbourne to play Aussie Rules football but was forced to give up that dream when sidelined by a broken leg before his first season. He studied at Melbourne University, was thinking of going into architecture or engineering, but fate took a turn, so the story goes, when he was spotted by a modeling scout while he was working out at the gym. The drop-dead handsome Fimmel became one of, if not the top male model in the world and landed on People magazine's sexiest men list by 2002. He studied acting with renowned coach Ivana Chubbuck in Los Angeles and in 2003 landed the role of Tarzan in a short-lived WB series. Other TV and film roles followed. He's had some high-profile relationships, but never married.

DEAR STACY: On "In Plain Sight" I loved watching the actor who played Marshall (Frederick Weller). What is he doing these days? I also wonder whether he is any relation to Peter Weller of "Robocop" fame.

— Charlotte G., St. George, Utah

DEAR CHARLOTTE: Fred and Peter Weller are cousins. The former "In Plain Sight" actor is currently in the cast of Neil LaBute's "Reasons to Be Happy" (the follow-up to his acclaimed "Reasons to Be Pretty") at the off-Broadway Lucille Lortel Theatre. "The Office's" Jenna Fischer is marking her New York theater debut with the play involving a couple who wonder if they can get back together years after a contentious breakup — though they're each now with someone new. Leslie Bibb and Josh Hamilton also star in the play that runs to June 23.

DEAR STACY: How does one become an aide to a celebrity? — R.M., Cedar Rapids, Iowa

DEAR R.M.: There's more you should know than can be written here, so I'll recommend you check out one or more of the books on the topic. "The Celebrity Personal Assistant Survival Guide" by Brian Daniel is one popular possibility for you. Also, good information can be found on websites such as the Association of Celebrity Personal Assistants' site at www.celebrityassistants.org. The jobs can be well paid and exciting, but they're often more demanding and demeaning than they're worth.

DEAR STACY: Will "Forrest Gump 2" be made? — Julie H., Santa Ana, Calif.

DEAR JULIE: No. The profits dispute between Paramount and author Winston Groom resulted in Groom's refusal to allow his sequel to be filmed. Then, plans for a different follow-up to the Oscar-winning film fell through. Writer Eric Roth told the story of how it happened at a press junket years ago for his "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button." According to him, he put a draft of the "Gump 2" script in an overnight express mailbox September 10, 2001 — the day before the terrorist attacks on New York City that changed the world and made that script irrelevant. Roth said that subsequently, he and filmmaker Robert Zemeckis and star Tom Hanks agreed they weren't interested in bringing Gump into this new, scarier world.
