Ask Stacy -- Week of 3/9/13Ask Stacy for March 9-10
DEAR STACY: I am curious to know whether Seth MacFarlane is single or married or coupled up some kind of way. He killed at the Oscars! -- Rian G., Winnetka, Calif. DEAR RIAN: A lot of people have been curious about the multitalented the "Family Guy" creator's personal life of late. He was linked to "Game of Thrones" actress Emilia Clarke for a while, then word went out that they weren't together, but then paparazzi caught them looking chummy indeed. DEAR STACY: Where did Death Cab for Cutie get its name? -- Bev R., Cedar Rapids, Iowa DEAR BEV: The alternative rock band took its moniker from a 1967 spoof song, done in a faux Elvis Presley style, that tells the tragic tale of the singer's gal, "Cutie," going out for a night on the town against his wishes, and the taxi in which she's riding getting into a fatal crash. The song was composed by Vivian Stanshall and Neil Innes and performed by Stanshall and the Bonzo Dog Doo-Dah Band. It's also featured in the Beatles' "Magical Mystery Tour" movie. DEAR STACY: While looking at a rerun of "Everybody Loves Raymond," I saw that beautiful woman who played Stefania.
DEAR ROGER: The beautiful woman you're referring to is Alex Meneses. The Chicago native is of Mexican descent on her father's side and Ukrainian descent on her mother's. After high school, she moved to Italy for two years to model. Upon returning to the United States, Meneses headed to Los Angeles to study acting. She appeared in many stage productions before landing a recurring guest spot on "Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman." Her other credits include the features "Selena," "Autofocus" and "The Flintstones in Viva Rock Vegas," numerous TV series guest roles and voice work in "The Cleveland Show" and other animated fare. DEAR STACY: Please settle a little bet among coworkers. There was a show on, I believe in the '80s, about young models living together. I say that one of the models was played by Halle Berry. My friends insist Halle Berry has never been on a series. Who wins? -- C.C., Sterling Hgts., Mich. DEAR C.C.: You do. Halle Berry was indeed in the 1989 series, "Living Dolls," along with Leah Remini of "King of Queens" and Allison Elliott and Deborah Tucker. The show was a spin off from "Who's the Boss?" whose stars, Tony Danza and Alyssa Milano, occasionally dropped in. COPYRIGHT 2013 STACY JENEL SMITH DISTRIBUTED BY CREATORS.COM
