ASK STACYDEAR STACY: Please settle a little office bet. Which "Dancing With the Stars" pro has won the most times? I'm going with Julianne Hough, but my co-worker says Cheryl Burke. — L.S., Brooklyn, N.Y. DEAR L.S.: Hough and Burke are in a three-way tie for first-place wins with Mark Ballas. Each has won twice in the show's past nine seasons. (Alec Mazo, Derek Hough and Kym Johnson have each won once.) However, Burke's overall performance is tops if you add in the fact she also had a second- and a third-place finish. Neither Hough nor Ballas has a second or third place. DEAR STACY: Cute Kyle Bornheimer on "Romantically Challenged" seems very familiar. Can you tell me what he's done before? Also, a little background: age, married? — Savannah W., Santa Clarita, Calif. DEAR SAVANNAH: You may remember Bornheimer as the star of CBS' short-lived "Worst Week" series — or from his many commercials. He's done spots for Coors Light, Imodium, Geico, Staples, Stanley and T-Mobile, among others. The 34-year-old native of South Bend, Ind., has a string of episodic TV appearances ("Chuck," "Better Off Ted," "Breaking Bad," etc.) and roles in the big-screen "She's Out of My League" and "Blades of Glory" as well. He is married to beautiful Fox network Vice President of Publicity Shannon Ryan Bornheimer, and they have a daughter, born in 2008. DEAR STACY: What is David Schwimmer up to lately? Haven't heard of him in awhile. — Shawn M., Cedar Rapids, Iowa DEAR SHAWN: The former "Friends" star has been busy directing the big-screen "Trust," which he also co-wrote, with an A-list cast including Clive Owen, Catherine Keener and Viola Davis.
DEAR STACY: Whatever became of John Gavin, who left acting and became an ambassador to Mexico? — Roger F., Canton, Ohio DEAR ROGER: Now 79, Gavin became a businessman after winding down his career as a diplomat. The man remembered for playing Janet Leigh's boyfriend in "Psycho" might have remained in show business if fate had played out a little differently. He was set to play James Bond in "Diamonds Are Forever" — until Sean Connery agreed to return to the role — and was actually paid out on the movie as his contract required. Later, he was going to play 007 in "Live and Let Die," but Roger Moore ended up with the part. Gavin and actress wife Constance Towers have been married since 1974 and have two daughters — one an actress and the other in TV production. DEAR STACY: What has happened to Darren E. Burrows, who played Ed on "Northern Exposure"? — Jay C., Allentown, Pa. DEAR JAY: Burrows, 43, married and the father of four, has continued to work, though not with the high profile of his "Northern Exposure" days. His movie credits include "Amistad," "The Hi-Lo Country" and "Naked in the Cold Sun." He's also guested on shows such as "X-Files," "NYPD Blue" and "CSI." The son of actor Billy Drago, he lives outside L.A. To find out more about Marilyn Beck and Stacy Jenel Smith and read their past columns, visit the Creators Syndicate Web page at www.creators.com.
