DEAR STACY: I watched "Tender Mercies" for the first time in years the other day. I'd like to know, what has the marvelous Tess Harper been up to lately? — Aaron H., Paterson, N.J.

DEAR AARON: Harper played the character of mother/hobby storeowner Wendy on Starz's "Crash" series. She did an arc in AMC's "Breaking Bad" in 2008-2009. And she turns up fairly frequently in guest roles on series such as "Brothers & Sisters" and "Ghost Whisperer." Her last big splash in films was 2007's "No Country for Old Men," in which she played the wife of Tommy Lee Jones.

DEAR STACY: I love the gentle song used in the background of Lexus' December to Remember commercials. Is it possible to get it? Name? — Kristin E., New York

DEAR KRISTIN: That's "Family & Friends" by Steve Kujala. It's available for download via outlets including Amazon.com.

DEAR STACY: I just heard that Sandra Bullock and Denis Leary used to be girlfriend and boyfriend. Is that true? Was it serious? — Angela P., Canton, Ohio

DEAR ANGELA: Leary and Bullock, who played romantic interests in 1996's "Two if By Sea" and appeared together in 1993's "Demolition Man," have each characterized their relationship as a good friendship.

DEAR STACY: Luke Wilson must be making a bazillion dollars off those AT&T commercials.

Is he doing any acting lately? — Marianne B., West Haven, Conn.

DEAR MARIANNE: Yes, he's poised to tackle his first regular TV series role, playing Laura Dern's druggy ex-husband in her HBO "Enlightened" pilot that also stars Dern's real-life mother, Diane Ladd. His next big-screen role is in the feature comedy "Death at a Funeral," opening in April.

DEAR STACY: Whatever became of the blond actress who played Bob Newhart's wife on his second series, "Newhart"? — Jan R., Cedar Rapids, Iowa

DEAR JAN: Mary Frann died of a heart attack in 1998 at age 55. Tabloids tried to tie the sudden death to weight loss efforts, but an autopsy revealed she'd had an undiagnosed heart condition.

DEAR STACY: On "Make It or Break It," Kaylie's mother is played by Rosa Blasi. She's very familiar-looking. Please give some information about her. — Monica C., Brooklyn, N.Y.

DEAR MONICA: Blasi played Dr. Lu Delgado on Lifetime's "Strong Medicine" from 2000-2006. The 37-year-old Chicago native's other credits include numerous episodic series guest roles and the movies "The Grudge" and "Noriega: God's Favorite." She has a 3-year-old daughter, Kaia, from her 2004-2008 marriage to former New York Giants fullback Jim Finn.
