ASK STACYDEAR STACY: Alison Sweeney of "The Biggest Loser" is just adorable. Can you tell more about her? Who is her husband and how many kids does she have? Where is she from? Age? — Chris C., Canton, Ohio DEAR CHRIS: Sweeney is married to California Highway Patrolman David Sanov. They have a son, Benjamin, age 4, and a daughter, Megan, who turns 1 this month. The 33-year-old L.A. native began acting professionally at age 4 in a Kodak commercial. She started playing Samantha "Sami" Gene Brady on daytime's "Days of Our Lives" in 1993, and continues with the role today. She had her own weight issues back in the '90s, but nowadays, fitness is the family way, she says. In fact, little Benjamin "already knows how to exercise. He does sit-ups. He goes to the gym with Daddy and it's the cutest thing ever, because Dave takes a towel to work out, and Ben wanted a towel, too. We got him a dishtowel and he throws it over his shoulder to go to the gym with Daddy. It's so adorable, it just breaks my heart." DEAR STACY: Who is the blond actress who plays the mom in those AT&T rollover minutes commercials? I love her little finger wag. — Chad R., Staten Island, N.Y. DEAR CHAD: Her name is Geneva Carr. She's 38, hails from Jackson, Miss., and can be seen in the new Meryl Streep movie, "It's Complicated," as a woman at a fertility clinic. Carr has an extensive list of theater, film and TV credits, including the recurring role of scandal-mongering cable news network gal Faith Yancy on "Law & Order: Criminal Intent." Other big screen credits include this year's film-festival-circuit comedy "Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Undead," "Then She Found Me" and "College Road Trip." DEAR STACY: Whatever became of "Three's Company's" Richard Kline? — Pauline L., Queens, N.Y. DEAR PAULINE: The actor/director, who is remembered as sleazy neighbor Larry on the '70s-'80s sitcom, is currently playing the Wizard in the North American touring company of "Wicked," a gig that will take him into May. Kline, whose daughter, Colby, is an actress who does a lot of regional theater and voiceover work. He also teaches acting workshops and "sitcom boot camp" workshops in New York and New Jersey. DEAR STACY: Please settle this trivial matter for us. Which actor or actress has starred in the most TV series? My husband and I are guessing Betty White. — Lu, Fort Wayne, Ind. DEAR LU: I believe you're correct. The beloved 87-year-old actress, whose series span from the 1952 "Life With Elizabeth" through the '70s' "The Mary Tyler Moore Show" and the '80s' "The Golden Girls," has at least a dozen to her credit — if you count her recurring roles in series such as "Boston Legal." Sharon Gless is also up there.
DEAR STACY: I love the show "Num3ers" — it's my all-time favorite. Most of the reason why I watch it is because of Dylan Bruno, who plays Colby Grainger. He's a doll. Can you please give me some information on him? — Patti D., Milford, Conn. DEAR PATTI: Perhaps the only actor in primetime TV who is both a former Calvin Klein model and the holder of an environmental engineering degree from MIT, Bruno hails from your neck of the woods: Milford, Conn. He played football (linebacker) for MIT and in high school was a nationally ranked wrestler — experience that no doubt helped him when he competed on "American Gladiators" in '95. That same year, he debuted as a TV actor on the series "High Sierra Search and Rescue." He went on to roles in "Saving Private Ryan," "The Rage: Carrie 2," "The One" and other movies. His television parts include "High Incident," on which he played Officer Andy Lightner. He narrates the Discovery Channel show "Rides." Bruno's father, Scott, and brother, Chris, are actors. He's been married since June 2006 to Emmeli Hultquist and they have a 1-year-old son. DEAR STACY: Can you tell me when the next season of "The Tudors" is going to begin? — Patricia H., Cedar Rapids, Iowa DEAR PATRICIA: The final season of Showtime's acclaimed series, starring Jonathan Rhys Meyers as King Henry VIII, premieres April 11. According to the network, it will consist of 10 one-hour episodes and "center on his tumultuous relationships with his last two wives, Catherine Howard and Catherine Parr, and his final descent into madness." DEAR STACY: Whatever happened to Karen Black? — Aldo, Huntington Station, N.Y. DEAR ALDO: The "Five Easy Pieces" and "Easy Rider" actress works all the time, but mostly in small independent movies. She's been associated with horror flicks, like "Trilogy of Terror" and Rob Zombie's "House of 1000 Corpses," but resists being termed a horror movie actress, noting that she's only done about 14 such flicks out of more than 170 features. She was seen this year in "Irene in Time," Henry Jaglom's "Hollywood Dreams" follow-up film. She has the women's prison movie send-up "Stuck!" due out next year. Other current projects include "Go Straight to Hell," "Heated Rivalry" and "Nothing Special." Black tried her hand at playwriting with "Missouri Waltz," which debuted in L.A. in 2007. A Scientologist for more than 30 years, she has been married four times. She and her current husband, film editor Stephen Eckelberry, married in 1987 and have a 22-year-old adopted daughter, Celine. Black also has a 34-year-old son, Hunter, from her former marriage to screenwriter Kit Carson.
