DEAR STACY: Will there be another "Simpsons" movie? — Terry W., Canton, Ohio

DEAR TERRY: Maybe. However, the show's creator, Matt Groening, has indicated he'll wait to take on such a job until after the beloved animated Fox series has breathed its last breath. In all likelihood, it will be sticking around at least a couple more seasons after the current one.

DEAR STACY: I am a big fan of both "N.Y.P.D." (1960s, starring Frank Converse) and "The Green Hornet" (Van Williams, Bruce Lee). Are they available on DVD? — Mel O., Bronx, N.Y.

DEAR MEL: All that has been released of the "Green Hornet" series are the two 1970s theatrical movies made up of episodes that were spliced together to take advantage of the late Bruce Lee's global stardom. "Green Hornet — Vol. 1," which can be ordered on Amazon.com and elsewhere, is one of those, but judging by the negative fan reviews, it didn't satisfy many viewers. The other, "Fury of the Dragon," was released abroad, but is only available via bootleg copies here, so there's no guarantee of quality. Perhaps when the Seth Rogen "Green Hornet" feature gets made, it will spark a new interest in the old material. As far as "N.Y.P.D.," it has not been released. (I did see unauthorized episodes offered on the Internet, but again, a big caveat emptor on that.) Too bad. Although it was only on for two seasons, that half-hour crime drama featured performances by Roy Scheider, Al Pacino, Harvey Keitel, James Earl Jones and Charles Durning, among others, was ahead of its time in depicting racial diversity and was the first network series to include a gay story line.

DEAR STACY: What can you tell me about singer Carrie Underwood? Is she married? What state does she live in? How old is she? And how do I go about getting a picture of her? — Patricia Ann M., Bronx, N.Y.

DEAR PATRICIA: Twenty-six-year-old Checotah, Okla., native Underwood currently resides in a suburb of Nashville, Tenn. The multi-Grammy-winning, multi-platinum-selling singer — who rose to fame as "American Idol's" fourth-season winner — is single. She has lately been linked to Ottawa Senators hockey player Mike Fisher, after having previously dated football star Tony Romo and actor Chace Crawford. Preceded by her latest hit single, "Cowboy Casanova," her third studio album is due Nov.

DEAR STACY: Whatever became of Flip Wilson? He used to make me laugh myself sick. — Antonio B., Chattanooga, Tenn.

DEAR ANTONIO: The comedic superstar of the '70s, remembered for his insightful humor and cast of characters including the sassy Geraldine, died of liver cancer at age 64 in 1998. His performing had become infrequent after 1979, when he won custody of his four children in a divorce battle and took time to focus on fatherhood.

DEAR STACY: Why did the CW network cancel "Everybody Hates Chris" and "The Game"? Are there any black shows on regular TV at all? — L.W. N.Y., N.Y.

DEAR L.W.: In the case of "Everybody Hates Chris," Chris Rock did say that the end of Season 4 coincided with the time in his life when he dropped out of school to pursue comedy so it was time to end the show — and soon after, the network announced the series would not be picked up. In the case of "The Game," declining ratings have been cited. However, both shows were badly wounded by being placed on Friday nights. This season, the only prominently African-American shows are on Fox: the critically flogged "Brothers" — starring ex-New York Giants football star Michael Strahan, Daryl "Chill" Mitchell, Carl Weathers and CCH Pounder — and the animated "The Cleveland Show" centered on an African-American guy who is voiced by a white guy (executive producer Mike Henry. Other characters are voiced by African-American actors).

DEAR STACY: I say that Don Dahler, who is on the local Channel 2 news, was once on "20/20." Am I right? Can I have some background on him? — E.D., Manhattan, N.Y.

DEAR E.D.: Yes, Dahler's many credits during his stint with ABC News included reporting on "20/20." The Emmy-winning broadcaster is also noted as the first network correspondent to report live from the scene of the World Trade Center attacks and subsequently for two weeks from Ground Zero. A native of Colorado Springs, Colo., he returned to his home state to cover the shootings at Columbine. He was among the first U.S. journalists into Afghanistan when the U.S. invaded. He was an embedded journalist at the outset of the Iraq invasion as well. Before ABC, he worked at NBC, Fox, and CBS covering a wide variety of stories. A summa cum laude graduate of the University of North Carolina, he now lives in New Jersey with his wife and two children.
