Ask Stacy, June 20DEAR STACY: Please give some background on Sam Page, who was so effective in the role of Dr. Greg Harris on "Mad Men." I'd like to see more of him. — Grace R., NY, N.Y. DEAR GRACE: If things had gone a little differently, handsome, single, 32-year-old Page could have been an environmental scientist, for he holds a degree in ecology and evolutionary biology from Princeton. His senior thesis, about the mating habits of the female mosquitofish, was published in a scientific journal. He also played baseball for Princeton, in addition to playing football, ice hockey, golf and tennis in his school years. The acting bug took hold in his senior year, and once he graduated, the Wisconsin-born Page was off to Hollywood. His career was launched via filmmaker David DeCoteau, who cast Page in the movies "Micro Mini Kids," "Prison of the Dead" and "The Brotherhood." On the TV side, Page amassed credits on such shows as "7th Heaven" and "Popular." He had a recurring role on "American Dreams," a stint on daytime's "All My Children," and regular roles on Fox's supernatural drama, "Point Pleasant," and CBS's James Woods legal series "Shark." He has a horror movie called "Slave" due out on DVD next month. DEAR STACY: Viewing an old episode of "Full House," I saw a little girl that could have been the young Cameron Diaz, but I didn't see her name in the credits. Is that possible? — Jane E., Cedar Rapids, Iowa DEAR JANE: No. Though she left home at 16 and traveled the globe, modeling and adventuring, it wasn't until she was 22 that Cameron Diaz acted — landing the leading lady role in Jim Carrey's 1994 "the Mask" role with no prior experience. DEAR STACY: Why did Chris Noth leave "Law & Order: CI"? Also, is Anthony Michael Hall married with children and what is his age? — Dawn D., Bronx, N.Y. DEAR DAWN: Noth said he felt he had done all he could do as an actor with the character of Det.
DEAR STACY: Whatever became of Cynthia Rhodes, who played Penny in "Dirty Dancing"? — Pat B., Chattanooga, Tenn. DEAR PAT: The singer-actress also seen in "Xanadu" and "One From the Heart" retired from her performing career to be a stay-at-home mom to her three sons with husband Richard Marx, the pop singer/songwriter. They live in Lake Bluff, Ill. DEAR STACY: Will the show "Worst Week" be returning to CBS? My family and I really love the show. — D.M., Bronx, N.Y. DEAR D.M.: No, despite a ratings upturn over its last few episodes, the network canceled "Worst Week" last month. Some consolation: Universal Studios Home Entertainment is producing a DVD of the complete series. In the meantime, there is also a DVD available of the first season of the British series, "The Worst Week of My Life," on which "Worst Week" was based. DEAR STACY: I have to know: What song is playing in that Kia Soul commercial with the hamsters on the treadmills? I can't get it out of my head. — Dan K., Spokane, Wash. DEAR DAN: That's "Fort Knox" by the group Goldfish. DEAR STACY: Is the lead actor in "Royal Pains" the same actor who played a naval lieutenant commander on "The West Wing" that Donna (Janel Moloney) fell for? — Dave A., Brooklyn, N.Y. DEAR DAVE: That's Mark Feuerstein in "Royal Pains." He did have a 2005 character arc in "The West Wing," but as Senate Majority Counsel Cliff Calley. Feuerstein has done a lot of series work, including the series "Good Morning, Miami" and "Caroline in the City."
