Ask StacyDEAR STACY: On the NBC show "Life," is that Steve McQueen's son who plays on the show? I think they call him Charlie. He looks so much like Steve McQueen. — S.J.H., Bronx, N.Y. DEAR S.J.H.: Many people have commented on the resemblance between McQueen and Damian Lewis of "Life," but there is no relation between the late action movie icon and the 37-year-old actor who hails from St. John's Wood, London, England — and puts on that perfect American accent. There is a McQueen descendant on the tube these days — dark-haired, 20-year-old Steven R. McQueen, son of Steve's actor son Chad McQueen. Steven R. has been seen this year on shows including "Numb3rs" and "Without a Trace" and the Disney Channel movie, "Minutemen." DEAR STACY: Please tell us about Mitchel Musso of "Hannah Montana." Family, background? He's adorable. — Kathy W., Canton, Ohio DEAR KATHY: The middle brother of three, 17-year-old Mitchel grew up "with a theatrical family in that my mom and dad (Samuel Musso II and Katherine Moore) did many, many plays together as a couple," according to him. "They worked this big theater arts thing in Texas, in Rock Wall, a community theater thing. I totally grew up, like, around that." His own career began after his younger brother, Marc, started modeling and doing commercials. Mitchel decided to give it a try and soon began booking commercials as well. Then Mitchel and Marc appeared as the sons of the money-hungry relatives in the 2003 feature "Secondhand Lions" with Robert Duvall, Michael Caine and Haley Joel Osment. More assignments followed, and the family relocated to Los Angeles. When Mitchel started work on "Hannah Montana," his older brother Mason, now 19, started dropping by the studio for impromptu jam sessions with Billy Ray and Miley Cyrus between camera calls. Now, Mason is the singer and guitarist in the band Metro Station with Trace Cyrus, Miley's brother. DEAR STACY: I enjoy the show "Psych." Is it going to come back with new episodes? — Robert A., Long Beach, Calif. DEAR ROBERT: The USA Network has a Christmas-themed episode of its amiable James Roday-Dulé Hill dramedy slated to air Friday (11/28), and will begin running the rest of the series' third season beginning in January. DEAR STACY: I would like to obtain the soundtrack for "Without a Trace." Would you be able to give me some info about one of the songs ("One of these days you will look for me and I'll be gone") and how to get it. DEAR REGINA: That song is called "One of these Mornings," and it's by Moby, from his "18" album. There isn't an official soundtrack album of the show, but it's possible to buy the most popular tunes used on it individually. Song lists of "Without a Trace" music can be found on the Internet. ("Trouble," by Coldplay, "My Vietnam," by Pink, "Scrappy Love," by Tricky, "Fade Into You," by Mazzy Star, Jeff Buckley's version of "Hallelujah," to name a few, plus the show theme by Reinhold Heil and Johnny Klimek.) DEAR STACY: What happened to "Shark" with James Woods and what is he doing? — Kay O., Flushing, N.Y. DEAR KAY: Woods' legal series got the axe last spring after two seasons, after which the usually busy actor took a breather. He's in David Zucker's "American Carol" movie, but has no other projects in the can. DEAR STACY: Whatever happened to Martha Hyer? — Dave A., Brooklyn, N.Y. DEAR DAVE: The gorgeous actress who appeared in such films as "Some Came Running," "Houseboat," "The Carpetbaggers" and "Bikini Beach," made her last film, "Day of the Wolves" in 1973 and retired her career. The widow of producer Hal B. Wallis, she is now 84. In 1990, she published her autobiography, "Finding My Way: A Hollywood Memoir." DEAR STACY: I heard that Estelle Getty of "The Golden Girls" recently passed away. Can you tell how old she was, and what happened to her after the show. I don't remember seeing her in anything after that. — Penny P., Chattanooga, Tenn. DEAR PENNY: Getty, who died in July at age 84 after a long struggle with Lewy Body Dementia, bowed out of the public spotlight with her retirement in 2000. After "Golden Girls," she continued her beloved Sophia Petrillo character on "The Golden Palace" for a year, then did a two-year stint on "Empty Nest" (1993-1995). She's in the 1999 feature "Stuart Little." To find out more about Marilyn Beck and Stacy Jenel Smith and read their past columns, visit the Creators Syndicate Web page at www.creators.com.
