DEAR STACY: Whatever became of Paul Michael Glaser's son? — Jessica L., Brooklyn, N.Y.

DEAR JESSICA: Jake Glaser, 23, remains active in the fight against HIV/AIDS. For years, he's been a spokesman for the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation founded by his late mother — who contracted the disease through a tainted blood transfusion and unwittingly passed it on to his sister, who died at age 7, and to Jake. He has delayed disease progression thanks to a gene mutation he inherited from his father. His efforts have taken him to college campuses for speaking engagements, to Africa — and to "The Apprentice," on which he was seen talking about the Foundation's work in 2005. Athletic and handsome, the former George Washington University student has done video production and says he likes working behind the scenes in show business.

DEAR STACY: Did Ellen DeGeneres ever golf professionally? — John M., Cleveland, Ohio

DEAR JOHN: No. Although she had enough talent that she considered a career in golf, she never turned pro. She's still pretty impressive — as a challenge she did on her show, firing chip shots with guest Tiger Woods in 2006, indicates. The clip is on YouTube.

DEAR STACY: I remember watching the TV series "Born Free," I believe with Gary Collins. Why hasn't it ever been shown in reruns or come out on DVD for home viewing? — Mary M., Canton, Ohio

DEAR MARY: That television spinoff of the 1966 big-screen hit lasted only from September to December of 1974, so there weren't enough episodes for it to be viable in rerun syndication.

DEAR STACY: When can we expect to see the Johnny Depp movie of "Dark Shadows"? — Jamie Z., N.Y.

DEAR JAMIE: The rights deal for Depp to star as vampire Barnabus Collins in a feature based on the popular supernatural soap closed in January 2007, and "Dark Shadows," the movie, has been in development since then — with a hoped-for release of 2010 and the possibility of Tim Burton directing.

But there's no telling when it might go into production. Depp has a full plate of other projects, including plans to take another crack at "The Man Who Killed Don Quixote" with Terry Gilliam, seven years after their first effort famously failed due to cast illness and a flood. Depp, along with Jude Law and Colin Farrell, recently stepped up to complete the late Heath Ledger's role in Gilliam's forthcoming fantasy, "The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus." Depp also has Michael Mann's "Public Enemies," playing gangster John Dillinger, due for release next July. He's got a film about the life of poisoned KGB agent Alexander Litvinenko in the works. And he's lined up for "Shantaram," a Mira Nair-directed adaptation of the Gregory David Roberts novel.

DEAR STACY: I've been trying to find a movie from about 20-25 years ago to no avail. It's about a woman who, after being in a car crash, finds she has the ability to heal people. It might have starred Louise Fletcher, but I didn't find it when I looked up her credits. Can you help? — J.C., Moreno Valley, Calif.

DEAR J.C.: Sounds like you're thinking of the 1980 film, "Resurrection," which starred Ellen Burstyn and Sam Shepard.

DEAR STACY: I heard that Robert Gossett of "The Closer" is a nephew of Louis Gossett, Jr. I also heard that Robert is Louis' cousin. Which is correct, or neither? Have the two ever been in a TV show or movie together? — Toni H., Bronx, N.Y.

DEAR TONI: Robert, 54, has said that one of the things that inspired him to get into acting was the career of his Oscar-winning cousin Louis, 72. Robert appeared in two of Lou's "Ray Alexander" mystery TV movies in the mid '90s.

DEAR STACY: I'm mesmerized by Chef Gordon Ramsey. Can you give tell whether he is married, a father, height, age.? — Wendy C., Queens, N.Y.

DEAR WENDY: The Johnstone, Scotland-born foul-mouthed food mogul, 41, married Montessori teacher Tana Hutcheson in 1996. They have four children: Megan, born in 1998, twins Jack and Holly, born in 2000, and Matilda, born in 2002. He stands 6' 2".
