Ask StacyDEAR STACY: Please tell me what Bob Eubanks and Jim Perry are now doing. They both were emcees on "Card Sharks." — J. B., Woodmere, N.Y. DEAR J.B.: Perry, who enjoyed career success both in Canada and the United States, is now retired and dividing his time between Florida and North Carolina. Eubanks is still working, as a corporate keynote speaker and TV personality — including his annual KTLA-TV gig as co-host of the Rose Parade in Pasadena, Calif. In addition to his game-show hosting jobs, including "The Newlywed Game," eclectic Eubanks has been a radio DJ, a concert promoter for 20 years (he got his start bringing the Beatles into the Hollywood Bowl), a country music talent manager (clients included Dolly Parton) and a professional rodeo rider — and he wrote all about it in his 2004 autobiography, "It's In the Book, Bob!" You can get a signed copy through his Web site. DEAR STACY: What has happened to Joe Don Baker? — D.F., San Pedro, Calif. DEAR D.F.: The actor still best remembered for his portrayal of Sheriff Buford Pusser in "Walking Tall" and for playing the anything-but-model CIA agent in the 007 films "GoldenEye" and "Tomorrow Never Dies" was seen as the governor in 2005's big-screen "The Dukes of Hazzard." He has a role in the feature comedy "Strange Wilderness," which is awaiting a release date. Starring Steve Zahn, it's about the team behind a failing wildlife show that, in a last-ditch attempt to grab ratings, heads to South America to look for Bigfoot. DEAR STACY: A friend says that Larry Manetti of "Magnum, P.I." fame is the brother of Robert Conrad of "The Wild Wild West." Is that so, and what are they doing now? — Claire R., Cleveland DEAR CLAIRE: The two are half-brothers, and worked together on Conrad's vintage "Baa Baa, Black Sheep" series. Conrad has been out of the public eye since his head-on car crash in March of 2003. He pled no contest to driving under the influence, and was sentenced to five years of probation, alcohol counseling and 180 days of electronic monitoring. He said that the accident left him partially paralyzed, with spinal and head injuries, short-term memory loss and depression. (The other driver reportedly suffered leg fractures and had to have several surgeries.) Manetti continues to act, though not as prominently as during his "Magnum" days. He popped up in several episodes of the series "JAG." DEAR STACY: Will Mike Myers do any more "Austin Powers" movies? — M.J. DEAR M.J.: Myers recently stated that he's developing a fourth "Austin Powers" feature from the super spy guy's arch nemesis, Dr. Evil's, point of view. No telling when it might go before the cameras, however. The "Shrek the Third" star has "The Love Guru" en route to production in August. DEAR STACY: Whatever happened to British actress Jane Asher, who was the girlfriend of Beatle Paul McCartney? She had long red hair and was the envy of almost every female in the 1960s. — Unsigned Reader, Austin, Texas DEAR READER: The woman who is said to have inspired such timeless songs as "Here, There and Everywhere," "We Can Work It Out" and "And I Love Her," Asher continues to act. Her latest job is a BBC medical drama, "Holby City," that launched in April. She's written several novels and cookbooks and is active in a number of British charities, notably on behalf of cures for autism and Parkinson's disease. She runs a company that makes specialty cakes. She is married to illustrator Gerald Scarfe (since 1981) and they have three children — Katie, Alex and Rory. DEAR STACY: What happened to Arnold Vosloo, who played Imhotep in the "Mummy" movies? Tell me something about him. I thought I saw him in "Blood Diamond." Is that correct? — G.G., Monroe Township, N.J. DEAR G.G.: Yes, the Pretoria, South Africa-born Vosloo played the South African Mercenary Col. Coetzee in last year's "Blood Diamond" with Leonardo DiCaprio and Djimon Hounsou. He has two indie thrillers hitting the festival circuit this year: "Living & Dying" with Michael Madsen and Bai Ling; and "Hidden Camera" with Dean Cain. Vosloo turned 45 yesterday (6/16). He became a naturalized U.S. citizen in 1988. In '98, he tied the knot with wife Silvia, a marketing director. Other credits include the films "Hard Target" and "Zeus and Roxanne." DEAR STACY: When is "WKRP in Cincinnati" coming to DVD? I see a lot of other series out there that were neither as popular nor as good. — Matt B., Woodhaven, N.Y. DEAR MATT: "WKRP's" release on DVD has been held up for years due to expensive music rights clearing problems. There is no telling when, or if, that difficulty will be surmounted. Of course, with enough potential profit as inducement, perhaps the vintage sitcom will find its way to the public again.
