General Management Responsibilities
- People management - evaluating current team and hiring needs
- Motivating employees - coming up with ideas and implementing ways to motivate employees (other than paying them more money)
- Training department heads - encouraging the future leaders of this company
- Giving feedback - discussing what people are doing right, how they can improve and sometimes having difficult conversations
- Inspiring teammates
- Painting the vision for the future of the company
Strategy & Business Development Responsibilities
- Analyzing our existing business and researching what businesses we should consider.
- Preparing pitches (and actually going on the meetings) to strategic partners and potential buyers of our content (e.g. agents, licensors, producers etc.)
- Devising what strategies we should implement and how we should execute.
