The latest examples — in just the last few weeks — are the Boy Scouts, sculpture and the Miss America pageant.

The left's decadeslong attempt to radically change the Boy Scouts has ended in triumph. Now that the Boy Scouts is admitting not only older girls but also younger girls — as Cub Scouts — it is dropping "Boy" from its name and becoming Scouts BSA. Thanks to the left, the Boy Scouts, one of the most socially and morally constructive organizations in America, is no longer the Boy Scouts.
Updated: Tue Jun 12, 2018
6bcb28a8bb4ed918ff930ad737229fa5 Google's New Slogan for 06/05/2018 https://www.creators.com/read/dennis-prager/06/18/googles-new-slogan Tue, 05 Jun 2018 00:00:00 -0700

The original slogan of Google was "Don't be evil." I admired this man then and I admire him now (he has since passed on). He was a major force for good in America.

At one point, the subjects of God and religion came up, and I mentioned how essential God is to morality — that without God, morality is subjective, a matter of personal or communal opinion. Having debated atheist scholars, all of whom agreed with this not-very-audacious observation, I was quite surprised when this prominent conservative took strong issue with me: God is morally unnecessary, he stated with some passion — why would any educated person think otherwise?

This was my first confrontation — I was a young man at the time — with the unsettling realization that to be a conservative did not necessarily mean being religious. In light of the Stormy Daniels and Karen McDougal interviews concerning their alleged (and probable) affairs with President Donald Trump, it is time to revisit the subject.

I do not agree with those — right or left, religious or secular — who contend that adultery invalidates a political or social leader. It may invalidate a pastor, priest or rabbi — because a major part of their vocation is to be a moral/religious model, and because clergy do not make war, sign national budgets, appoint judges, run foreign policy or serve as commanders in chief. In other words, unlike your clergyman or clergywoman, almost everything a president does as president affects hundreds of millions of Americans and billions of non-Americans. If a president is also a moral model, that is a wonderful bonus. But that is not part of a president's job description.
Updated: Tue Mar 27, 2018
5ffa38573d555f95264d841f46d4b96e Thoughts on Parents Whose Children Have Died for 03/20/2018 https://www.creators.com/read/dennis-prager/03/18/thoughts-on-parents-whose-children-have-died Tue, 20 Mar 2018 00:00:00 -0700

In decades of writing columns, I have taken risks but perhaps never one as big this: writing a column to and about parents who have lost a child. What does he know about the unspeakable pain I live with?

Nevertheless, having talked to many parents who have lost children over the course of 40 years — on my radio show and in private consultations (largely because of my religious writings and talks) — and given the possibility that I might be able to say something that will help some parents, I feel it is a risk worth taking.
Updated: Tue Mar 20, 2018
c0988a68157636a9f3ec43f209897ed5 Who Are the Luckiest Jews, Blacks and Latinos? for 03/13/2018 https://www.creators.com/read/dennis-prager/03/18/who-are-the-luckiest-jews-blacks-and-latinos Tue, 13 Mar 2018 00:00:00 -0700

At The City College of New York in the late 1930s, my father, an Orthodox Jew, wrote his senior class thesis on anti-Semitism in America. The institution Jews most admire — the university — turns out to be the most significant source of Israel hatred in America and the rest of the West. At the same time, the people many Jews most distrust — Christians (especially evangelical and other conservative Christians) — turn out to be the Jews' and Israel's best friends.

Given that these two facts are undeniable, how do many American Jews deal with this dissonance? They largely ignore the Israel hatred on campuses, and they dismiss the authenticity of the Christian support. They dismiss it by denying it is genuine. Christians who support Israel, they (and non-Jews on the left) argue, do so for two deceptive reasons.
Updated: Tue Mar 06, 2018
c9d644a87d416a47d8503568d30a4afb Why the Left Opposes Arming Teachers for 02/27/2018 https://www.creators.com/read/dennis-prager/02/18/why-the-left-opposes-arming-teachers Tue, 27 Feb 2018 00:00:00 -0800
Why does the left oppose allowing a small number of highly trained teachers and other adults who work at schools to arm themselves?

When asked, their response is consistent: "It's a crazy idea."
