1. whom or what is depicted? the guy with the black suit is Wayne LaPierre a US author and advocate of the right to keep and bear arms. He is best known for his position as the executive vice president of the National Rifle Association and for his criticism of gun control proponents. he is in airport and has to do Universal” background checks so he is talking to an old lady that he is going to d.c to argue against back ground check , so the lady looks like she doesn't even know what he is talking about , probably he is talking to her because he knows she won't argue with him.
2. What issue (or issues) does the cartoonist address, and what is the cartoonist's point of view? the issue is Universal background checks do not work because law-abiding citizens obey the law and criminals do not obey the law.Universal” background checks is not going to work unless there they put universal registration, and that is illegal.i don't see any point in having laws against law breaker people because they will break the law anyway.and people who respect the they will respected no matter what.and an other issue is that people usually don't register their guns even though they have it with them all the time .and while we went through this “security theater,” shipping companies were taking TRUCKS full of packages onto planes without so much as a cursory inspection.
3. Describe and analyze the symbols and images used by the cartoonist? Wayne LaPierre doing universal background check , but he is showing his id .we see different signs and diffrent scanner , talking of shoes , he is talking to an old lady , which they don't really care about women's vote ,he is one of the 25 most influential Republicans in the U.S so they really care about old white guys vote .he didn't take off his glass may be he didn't want to people to recognize him , but he is talking to the old lady about his job .

1: we see Mr. Wayne is in airport and doing the universal back ground check . first at
the luggage x-ray he shows his ID and giving his luggage to be checked , then he
is taking of his shoes , belt , suite , watch to be checked . he didn't take his
glasses of which usually you have to give your those to be checked too, now he is
going for full body X-RAY , he is standing there with his hands up so they can see
if he is hiding something or not, and finally he is in a plane sitting next to an old
lady telling her that he is going to D.C to argue against background checks, but
she seems surprised or confused , maybe she thinks you agree to do the body x-
ray and luggage x-ray to go to D.C to argue against the easy informational
background check .
2: the issue is that right now in our country every body can go and request a gun ,
and the only thing that they need to have is money . nobody is going to be back
ground check. What if the person who is buying the gun is a psycho like a guy
who killed all those kids in new town shooting or is a thief and want's to break in
some where.
Luckovich believes that informational back ground checks are absolutely necessary
for who ever wants to buy a gun, just like airport security. When we go to airport
with all those heavy luggage and some of us have kids is hard to take of our shoes
and do all those boring checks, but is something that we are prepared to do it
because is a low, so there is no complain and we know is for our safety. I think is
really sad because we can't feel safe when they handing guns to every body.
3: Wayne doesn't want to do the informational background check but he submits to
the physical background check, which is much harder. His face looks calm and
he looks like he is fine by taking of his shoes, giving his luggage for search, even
he looks really calm when he is doing the full body X-RAY, which is weird for
some one who is just going throw all this to argue against informational check.
He has his glasses on at all time, so we can't see his eyes which means he can't
trust other people. He is talking to an old lady, she probably don't care about
guns she has colorful clothing on probably she is going to see her grand kids
and that's only thing she cares about, and republican don't really care about
women's vote so he is talking to someone that would never argue with him.
