Six-term Sen. Joe Biden's got some nerve going after citizen Joe the Plumber. But the entrenched politician from Delaware, who fancies himself the nation's No. 1 Ordinary Joe, had no choice. Obama-Biden simply can't tolerate an outspoken citizen successfully painting the Democratic ticket as socialist overlords. And so a dirty, desperate war against Joe Wurzelbacher is on.
The left's political plumbers are attacking the messenger, rummaging through his personal life and predictably wielding the race card once again. It's standard operating procedure for the Obama thug machine.
Wurzelbacher, in case you've been in hibernation, is the small-business man from Ohio who questioned Obama about his tax plan during a Toledo campaign swing last weekend. The revealing exchange was caught on tape and broadcast widely across the Internet and TV airwaves.
In response to Wurzelbacher's question about why he should be "taxed more and more for fulfilling the American dream," Obama sermonized that he needed to "spread the wealth around" because "it's good for everybody."
John McCain flung that chilling Marxist mantra back in Obama's face during Wednesday night's presidential debate and repeatedly cited Joe the Plumber's plight.
Obama squirmed. The dirt-diggers started Googling. And the next morning, six-term Sen. Biden launched the first salvo against the Ohio entrepreneur on NBC's "Today Show," challenging the veracity of his story: "I don't have any Joe the Plumbers in my neighborhood that make $250,000 a year."
Under an Obama-Biden administration, they'll make sure no Joe the Plumbers ever earn such a salary. "It's good for everybody," don't you know?
Biden, as is so often the case, twisted the facts about Wurzelbacher. No surprise there. Slick Joe Biden is the one who tells fables about visiting a diner in Delaware that hasn't been open in years; spins yarns about getting "forced down" in a helicopter over Afghanistan because of perilous conditions that turned out to be weather related, not al-Qaida related; and continues to slander the family of the man involved in his wife and daughter's fatal car accident (crash investigators cleared the now-deceased driver of drunk driving, despite Biden's insinuations).
But I digress.
Wurzelbacher never claimed to be making $250,000 a year. He told Obama that he might be "getting ready to buy a company that makes about $250,000, $270,000" a year. His simple point was that Obama's punitive tax proposals would make it more difficult to realize his dream.
Obama's followers couldn't handle the incontrovertible truth. Left-wing blogs immediately went to work, blaring headlines like "Not A Real $250k Plumber!" Next, they falsely accused Wurzelbacher of not being registered to vote — he's registered in Lucas County, Ohio, and voted as a Republican in this year's primary.
Next, they called him a liar for identifying himself as undecided. Only registered Democrats and fake Republican tools used in mainstream media stories and YouTube debates are allowed to use that label, you see.
Next, award-winning liberal blogger Joshua Marshall cast Wurzelbacher as some kind of rabid freak for calling Social Security a "joke" — as if no working-class Americans could believe that the federal government's entitlement programs were a rip-off unless they were bought and paid for by the McCain campaign.
Then, suddenly, the journalists who wouldn't lift a finger to investigate Obama's longtime relationships with Weather Underground terrorist Bill Ayers and Jeremiah Wright sprang into action rifling through citizen Joe Wurzelbacher's tax records. Politico.com reported breathlessly: "Samuel J. Wurzelbacher has a lien placed against him to the tune of $1,182.92. The lien is dated from January of '07." Press outlets probed his divorce records. The local plumbers union, which has endorsed Obama, claimed he didn't do their required apprenticeship work and didn't have a license to work outside his local township.
Hang him!
After Wurzelbacher told Katie Couric that Obama's rhetorical tap dance was "almost as good as Sammy Davis, Jr.," the inevitable cries of "bigotry" followed. (There are now tens of thousands of hits on the Internet for "Joe the Plumber racist.")
Welcome to Joe the Plumber Derangement Syndrome. If you can't beat him, smear him. It's the Obama way.

Joe's encounter with Obama was terrific. Obama is becoming so arrogant he doesn't believe anyone is smart enough to trip him up,but he has been playing against a fool, McCain. I cannot believe John McCAin would sit down at a dinner table with Barack Obama and make jokes about ACORN. My vote has been stolen by illegal aliens and little commie college students, and McCain makes jokes about it.
This attack on Joe by the liberal fascists shows how dangerous they have become. How are they able to get Joe's private information so quickly? They have to have people in government offices who are willing to break the law to release private information about Joe.
Liberal fascism has taken over our government. The government is my enemy. The political class is my enemy. Both parties are my enemy. We need a European-American Homeland on the North American Continent, we need to restore the Constitution, repudiate the US debt, and start over.

The names of tax "scofflaws" are generally made public, so it is probable that 0bama's lefty minions just did a simple internet search to find out about the lien (not that I agree with what they have done, but it doesn't take a widespread conspiracy to get that info).
I thought McCain's zingers last night were actually pretty effective. You can generally get more done with humor than with direct attacks ("you can catch more flies with honey than vinegar"), especially with the MSM out to get McCain and playing kissy-face with 0bama.
Liberal Facism has not quite taken over our government, but if 0bama gets elected, and the Democrats gain enough seats in the Senate to be filibuster-proof, we are indeed in deep stuff. Which is why this election truly is the most important of our lifetimes.

Yeah. Obama is so arrogant that he spent 4 minutes with the guy.
The MSM is not "out to get McCain". It's called doing their jobs. McCain/Palin are incompetent (much like the current admin), so it's pretty easy to make them look stupid, just by reporting on their actions, and those of their supporters.
That Malkin has the nerve to whine about smears, when that is the sole purpose of her own website is a laugh. It's like one side of her brain has no idea what the other side is up to. Mind you, that pretty much describes the conservative mind these days. It's all talk about how evil everyone is, all while ignoring the fact that they've been spitting on the US constitution for the past 8 years.
Joe has been doing loads of media interviews (more than Palin), so it's fair to ask who he is. The facts that have emerged from the "digging" are important to the story:
A) he isn't a licensed plumber
B) will actually be better served by Obama's tax plan, because the $250k represents the business revenues, and not his income
C) his Sammy Davis Jr. comment was in fact racially tinged, and we're seeing a lot of that out of the right these days.
Malkin on the other hand publishes people's phone numbers, and sends her rabid minions after them. Now that is creepy.

Excellent write up Ms Malkin! I once again applaud you as you suffer the slings and arrows of the righteous who have their axe to grind simply because you write the truth. Bravo!! I call Joe Biden "just say it ain't so Joe" and even tho I disagree vehemently with the ideas of Bo, and I'm voting for John, I have to say I hope Bo gets the nod! I'm preparing to leave the USA for greener patures if Bo makes it, somewhere south of our border sounds good, but know that I'll be watching to see how a Messiah fixes it all. This is gonna be way too funny!!

I wondered what had happenend to Michelle Malkin after our newspaper dropped her column for offending so many people. This is overall a conservative area, went to Bushland for two terms, yet even they were disgusted by her angry, hate-spewing columns. She just dropped out of sight long before the campaigning hoopla ever started and all were glad. I see she continues to direct her venom at anything and anyone not like her, including the forgotten moderates, in books and columns that can only appeal to the rabid, radical right. I thought the NRO only employed legitimate, fair-minded writers. Having read her article, I can only say she is as ugly as the far-left she rants against.

Joe The Plumber...not a licensed plumber but is worried about if he buys a plumbinig company will he be taxed more? All I can say, HIRE A GOOD ACCOUNTANT! Besides why worry...you don't pay your taxes and you also don't pay your medical bills....
Malkin....you are an idiot....there is no other way to put it....you have watched as our whole financial system suffered a meltdown and got its self bailed out by taxpayers. You have watched as our current conservative Treasury Secretary just went in and nationalized our banks. Our auto industry just hit up the people for a loan of billions because they could not adapt. Then you have watched as the stock market has lost trillions of dollars of wealth and value....that will take many years to regain if it is possible at all....
As an owner of a small but very successful company I decided that I would poor every dime of my money back into myself, my company, and my employees....because I knew that we could keep our value. I am also voting for OBAMA because I don't need tax breaks....I need consumers who can afford my products! It is the consumer that creates wealth, its the consumer that creates jobs......
While you and your kind have been pimping supply side economics these last twenty years and rewarding yourselves accordingly you have destroyed this country! Thank God I did not spend the last twenty years blowing smoke up my own rear end about how great I am for creating jobs! While you have been congratulating yourselves I have watched as my "MADE IN THE USA" products sell more in Europe, Eastern Europre, and Russia.....
While Americans flee to Walmart my customers are fleeing to quality.....and for that I will have a successful 2008!
Hopefully, Obama can bring some sanity to this country....we have had 20 years of the logic from the lunatic fringe.....Ronald Reagan, George Bush, and all you kool aid drinking fellow travelers.....

Re: Sandy Aron: You got that right, Ms. Aron. Malkin is an excellent example of the ignorant-and-proud-of-it degeneracy that has been dragging this great country into a dark ditch of hatred and ignorance. Wouldn't it be nice if this election could mark the point at which we began once again to value our best and brightest, our great tradition of being a leader in science (as opposed to substituting bible studies like creationism for true education), and our wonderful diversity of fresh ideas and creative thinking?
P.S. I think Malkin should lead a movement to get government off our backs by banning the licensing of plumbers!

Let's see: Sammy Davis Jr. was a great song-and-dance man, one of America's most famous entertainers. "Song-and-dance" is also a common metaphor for "B.S". Joe Wurzelbacher compared Barack Obama's rhetorical "tap dancing" to Sammy Davis Jr. Oh, and Obama and the late Mr. Davis both happen to be black. Conclusion: Joe Wurzelbacher is a racist.

Ma'am;... If you could be a monkey, what kind of monkey would you be??? I bet if you were a monkey you'd like monkey company... Is that why you want to make a monkey out of me??? The revolutionary democrats are too much to believe. If I said they were magicians do you think we could agree??? They want to give the rich folks billions that we will never see...If they have nothing in their hats we will have to be the meat.. But if they pull a rabbit from their hats we'll have some stew to eat. We can feed the world if we work, but we cannot work for free. We cannot take depression as far as we can see. We've had enough republicans to make our bellys full; but the gas and diarrhea have begun to take their toll. If we could crap our brains out you we could see things as you please; but the pain and deprivation has us on our knees... Or, let me put it another way: I am a socialist in training and inclination. I am a revolutionary... There is not one revolutionary or socialist in the democratic party. I am voting for Obama because I am voting against garbage repubicanism that uses every excuse to give our taxes to the rich... In fact, unless you pretend to be a rich monkey there is no point voting For Mr. Mccain...Thanks...Sweeney

Re: Sandy Aron;.... Ma'am, I'll go along with ugly... The fact is that nothing is more ugly than the truth upon which we bet our lives and are manipulated by when it is proven false. All the false nonsense of the past fifty years is being thrown at Mr. Obama. They fear him and hate him. Well; That is good enough for me. They have asked for a divided society, cut on every possible line. Forget finding an acceptible candidate for the right, religious, reactionary, imperialists. Those people cannot govern, and must be governed. They are not reasonable, and discount reason. It is for that fact that so much money is spent to manipulate their emotions. So all the old fears are trotted out. Those buying all that fear have reason to fear. If the beautiful truth were known they would be washed away...Thanks...Sweeney

Ms. Michelle Malkin need some manners for sure. You may love Joe the Plummer(maybe he is your type of guy)- but to call Obama a thug is racist and malicious. Obama has been very respectable in the race compared to the angry ,grumpy and disrespectful John McCain/Palin. They are the worst and are ungodly and shameful. Vote for Obam/Biden a ticket with class and respect.
