Year-End Odds and Ends

Here are some year-end observations:

New Year's Day hangover sufferers usually fail to understand that drinking is not a spectator sport — the whole family gets to play, whether it wants to or not.

Going to a post-season college football bowl game used to be quite an honor back when there were basically just the Rose Bowl, the Cotton Bowl, the Sugar Bowl and the Orange Bowl.

But this year's college bowl games total 34, which include, among others, the Gaylord Hotels ...

Sir;....The past is behind us; and so is that article...Take a moment, and clean the past off your goggles...The future is coming at us fast, and you don't want to miss a bit of it... In fact; seeing  it coming might be your only chance of getting out of the way....Now; I know there was not much you could do... Money is locked into 401Ks... But I tried to tell you that when those people in charge of the economy look scared, it is time to feel scared...We blind ourselves by hoping against hope... I always try to put the thirteenth commandment first: Don't shet yourself... If the whole world is trying to get you to buy a rash of nonsense; don't go along, even if it is political to play along... Faith made this nonsense possible, and those with the greatest faith have lost the most, and suffered the most... Faith is poison to the rational mind, and if faith is all that is supporting your economy, you have no economy....Thanks...Sweeney
