Sir;....If I would have to bet on anything, it would be on the unexpected become reality... I watched your performance on the News Hour, and in regard to Charles Freedman, the result was not unexpected; and the issue reminds me of the statment that just because you are paranoid does not mean they are not out to get you... I think the man belongs in our pantheon of heroes for daring to say anything was amiss in our relationship with Israel... Such courage borders on foolishness, but he has received his reward... He said the Israel Lobby is too powerful...It does not matter what you believe, or what I believe, but seeing that will certainly make some believe that the Israel Lobby is too powerful if they can decide who we will have in sensitive positions... Who do they want in our sensitive positions??? Is it some one insensitive to reality??? I think Israel can do this because they can play upon the anti-democratic nature of our government where our too few representatives are too easily bought.... We should increase their number to dilute the effect of alien money, and we should go on increasing their number until the value of their virtue exceeds the going price...God forbid that we should have democracy, and that the people would ever have to be convinced that the support of Israel, and blindness to her crimes was in the best interest of our lives, and of our eternal souls.... The protestants who are not far removed from the Jews would easily support them, but that hardly counts as the common man.... And I suppose democracy is the true danger to Israel, and they know it; that the common man will get control over his own affairs and say: What is in this for me??? Surely, we might well rationally conceive a benefit to having a loaded gun like Israel aimed at the entire Middle East.... I trust the Middle East is growing tired of such high handedness... Morally, I do not think we can justify the further support of Israel...They have played the victim even while they have become the criminal...It is getting very old...Thanks...Sweeney
