"Although the Obama stimulus package stopped the worst recession from turning into a global depression, the nation's working families and small businesses have gotten too little help so far. Even if Congress is not yet ready to pass a second stimulus, which will ultimately prove necessary, the president should propose other actions." Typical leftist nonsense; spoken as one who 'doesn't get it.' I sure would love to see the calculus which yielded this absurd conclusion. What's really interesting is that other countries which didn't have a "stimulus" are already climbing out of recession. Borrowing and spending doesn't stimulate economic activity; only the private sector can do that. It was a stupid idea when Bush did it; it's a worse idea for Obama to do it ten times harder. What's needed is a 20% tax cut so that business owners will have more capital with which to expand and create jobs.
