That idiotic "what me worry?" look just never leaves the man's visage. Once again, there was our president, presiding over disasters, in part of his making and totally on his watch, grinning with an aplomb that suggested a serious disconnect between his worldview and reality. Be it in his announcement that Iraq is being secured on a day when bombs ripped through that sad land or posed between his treasury secretary and the Federal Reserve chairman to applaud the government's bailout ...

The people who say W. is stupid are missing the point entirely. The fact that his policies have been an utter disaster for our country is irrelevant since W. IS NOT AN AMERICAN PRESIDENT. His constituency is big money, the multinational corporations of this world who have no illegiance to any country or people in this world.. If they could send their businesses into earth orbit and operate from there at a larger profit and totally avoid taxes, they would. By calling the frat boy president stupid, people are letting his pure evil go under appreciated; thinking him stupid in some measure says he meant well, but was just incompetent. Years ago, W. said, and people laughed at his English, "people misundrestimate me". Right there he provided the clue for all to see; he is both misunderstood and underestimated. America, the oldest trick in the book is to be smart and to act dumb; you can sneak up on people and get a lot done when they're looking elsewhere.
