Texas sure could use Molly to question--needle--Gov. Goodhair when he made a fool of himself, again, so recently.

Thank you for this column. I miss Molly's wonderfully irreverent, always intelligent, down to earth, humorous view of politics. Lord Almighty, she'd have a lot to say right now. Makes me laugh just thinking about it.

Thank you for a wonderful tribute to Molly, Betsy. I often ask that question - what would Molly think? How I miss her unique brand of humor and her insightful analysis. Does anyone out there have a suggestion for a Molly substitute? I need to find someone who can write just a bit like her.

Ma'am;... The Joe Hills of another day said: Don't mourn; Organize!!!. No... We should Mourn, and disorganize... No organization stands a chance against the power of the government to infiltrate, or to insinuate... Few organiztions can get beyond the force of politics, the personality of all organizations... Instead, people should act as individuals...I would argue that there is no such thing...An individual is a victim, ready made from birth for exploitation...A common defense is denied to us; and yet we find we must tribalize... We are forced to stand together, to stand at all...How ever we concieve of ourselves is how we must unite for a common defense of rights...Yet, we are isolated as individuals, and defined by philosophy as individuals, and that is how we should act... Do not organize... Have the courage to stand alone... Have the courage to resist injustice...Don't try to make a party or move a party, and don't even justify the power of parties... Stand against it all... Stand only for democracy....Make an impediment of yourself... Resist the machine, and ask no leave... They think our individuality is our weakness... Make it your strength... Do as you please... Make your own law.. Make your own economy...Make your own religion... Form your own relationships... And make your own government... Save your trust for those who earn it... Withdraw your trust from the forms of the past... Molly is Dead, and I am sorry for that, because She was Cool... But we see what we are against... The republicans have chosen party above country... So have the democrats; really...The organization is not the answer, at least, not unless it will deliver justice... Let us take a moment for the dear ones we have left behind, and steel ourselves for the hard days ahead... Beyond that will be our day, our time, a new promise of glory for this land, and a new hope for freedom; or only more of hell and degradation... It is your choice... Your whole future is in your hands...This nightmare for the rich, the successful, and the powerful is a dreamscape for the revolutionary...I have prayed for this moment in time, and saw it coming from a long way off... It has found me old and broken, and it may yet bury me; but the world, turning by fits and starts is quaking beneath our feet... Praise this day of decision....Reach out to embrace the dawn... Thanks...Sweeney

Hey, Betsy,
Its Hope, this is a very good article. I agree Molly would be so excited to see Obama become president. I miss her so much. A day does not go by that she pops in my thoughts, also in my dreams. For some reason she is still having her get together parties. So, she is telling me she is still keep up with friends and us down here.
As, I said in my speech at the church "GIVE EM HELL, MOLLY"!!! We miss you and Love you. And you will always be in our hearts and thoughts...
Hope aka Hopester as you would call me on a daily basis...
