Imagine Obama being sworn in as President WITHOUT using his middle name. In that case, it would be conspicuous by its absence. The liberal press would accuse him of caving in to pressure from the right. The fact is, he's damned if he does and damned if he doesn't.

Incidentally, strictly speaking, Hussein is an ARABIC name -- and a fairly common one at that. Calling it a "Muslim" name is like saying that Mario or Bernadette is a "Catholic" name.
