The raucous sound of applause for President Obama when he spoke at the White House Correspondents Dinner underlined what could be the news media's motto: "You had us at hello." They shamelessly cheered and screamed even louder when he only half-joked, "I am Barack Obama. Most of you covered me. All of you voted for me."

My question is and always will be....what can we do about it besides vote.
How can we reverse the damage and stop the damage NOW. We can wait no longer.
No one will listen to me. I am just a mom without a microphone.
We must stop this insanity.

Networks didn't call Bush a socialist when he advocated public ownership of Iraq's oil which is socialism by definition.
Networks didn't call Palin a socialist even though she believes that oil profits should be distributed to the people based on citizenship rather than investment in the oil companies.
Based on Mr. Bozell's "reasoning" Bush and Palin are socialists and far leftists.
Mr. Bozell is not someone who one can believe if one is capable of clear thought.

It never was democracy...Majority rule is not democracy...Voting for a dictator every four years is not democracy..Do you think Mr. Bush could have started world war three if we had a democracy???..When was the last time you ever got to vote on an actual issue that affected your life???You vote for some guy who decides everything for you....That is not democracy...That is insanity...Thanks...Sweeney

Re: Pericles;...Socialism is government over industry...Now we have government over people so that enterprise can be free, so industry can be free, and so finance can be free...I would rather have people free, and business governed, because ungoverned the people must suffer both tyranny from government, and anarchy from business... Sir;...Don't you pity this long suffering people that we must trust this poor African-American with out futures...Does that not make you doubt the past that has brought us to this point in time of such desparation???What was good about yesterday to have brought today... Were all the years of Nixon, Reagan, and Bush X2 for nothing??? If they did not save us from the pitiful situation you find us in, how were they great, and what good did they do??? Look at that little nut job Hitler... Do you think the Germans actually wanted tthat self affected fairy as their leader??? Look at the Russians...Do you think think they wanted that maimed maniac as their Autocrat??? Do you think the French wanted that shrimp Napoleon to waste them on Europe's battlefields??? People are put into the situation where they must invest hope in individuals by the failures of their governments to act responsibly, and to govern with an eye to the future...The news media did not elect Mr. Obama...We elected Mr. Obama out of dire necessity because of the outright, undeniable, and entirely avoidable problems brought forth by prior administrations...None of the presidents want to go as far as they need to, and none of them go far enough...Mr. Obama will not go far enough, and that can be clearly seen...So he does not deserve to be re-elected, but needs to be washed up with the whole government...This people, whether they want to admit it or not has outgrown their government...I can talk to you as easily as you can read these words, if you can read...But government gets in the way of our communication with each other...Government is the place where the people should talk, and there, only money talks...People are guided by their ideologies...You are guided by your ideologies...The government is governed by ideals when it needs to be governed by reason, and by the people...We need government, and we need democracy, and now we have neither...So do not abuse the press for the election of Mr. Obama....Your class corrupts every politician they can use...Don't cry about Mr. Obama, or abuse him... Corrupt him rotten so he is no good for the people if you think the government can stand it...Corrode his virtue...Show the people that their great hope has feet of clay, and pockets full of dough....Thanks...Sweeney
