Sir;...I defy you to show me any point in American history since the constitution when market forces were not supported by or limited by government... When national debts were allowed  by the constitution to be laid upon the people, or when public  property was allowed to be sold off to pay debts; who can say free market force were not made the masters of the whole people... Jackson sold of Indian land, a national trust, to pay off the national debt and set a precident carried on to this day of building up debts to benefit the rich, and selling the nation to settle the debt until now we have nothing left to sell worth having but our rights... And what are they worth without property, because property has the protection of law that civil rights have never enjoyed... Cromwell in the failed revolution in England- that our patriots later brought to success- wrote to his Long Parlement after the battle of Dunbar "Be pleased to reform the abuses of all professions: and if there be any one that makes many poor to make a few rich, that suits not a commonwealth.".. What Cromwell saw as anathema we have made our anthem... What you call market forces should be balanced by political forces, so that the people suffering injustice should by force of democratic numbers  be able to end their wrongs with law and justice... This does not happen... The rich are the government... The rich are the courts... They have fed the people free market slop...They govern the weak to feed the strong, and the strong are glutted... Their money is becoming worthless to them because having all wealth they have nothing left to buy... Whether from foreign shores, or from our own, this land is bought and sold, and no one poor can possess more than their lives, day to day, hand to mouth, with nothing extra, and mostly on debt... Who killed the capitalist's free markets but themselves...They have starved this market to open others... In opening up the whole world as a market they made us the importers of their foreign made goods; but even those we could not afford on short wages..And still the rich will not see themselves taxed even to save their own economy... ... You are living in a dream world... There was never a time when the society did not go into debt to feed capital... The economy should support the nation, but the nation must support the economy.... America could have loaned to the railroads what they gave them to build the lines... How often, and in how many ways did industry grow to own the nation for a benefit the nation never enjoyed???We have not  willingly, or with our consent been saddled with the debt of the rich.... They have been able to drive the population into poverty with the income tax, which they have all but refused to pay...yet they can finance debt, or at least could before they tried to buy the world, and finance world capitalism... Their failures have become our obligation; and why??? Does our economy  not support the country...Does the government not defend capital and property??? Are those imprisoned in vast majority not  in for crimes against property???Law and defense are the biggest expense of government, and yet the rich refuse to pay for the privilage they enjoy, and we endure... They start the wars we must finish... They start the injustice that ends behind prison walls... But the rich refuse to pay their debts... Then it must find another method of making those debts payable...  Thanks...Sweeney
