Bush may have done a lot to help in Africa, yes. But it seems to me that the reason he doesn't get a lot of credit for it is that he has completely offset his accomplishments elsewhere, whether in the increase in poverty in America, deaths of civillians in Iraq, and the tanking of the economy and the environment due to rubber-stamping of deregulation.
I am imagining the serial killer who doesn't get credit for not getting blood on the victims' carpet.

It seems that our politicians want to stick their noses in all other countries funding this and that. None of them know anything about the bills they support, as they fail to read/understand all the pork that's being dished out. As for Africa, HIV and AIDS, FUNDING SHOULD STOP! You can give all the money to Africa (and America), and give these people all the needles and condoms, but you're not stopping their behavior! You're only throwing good money to these people so they can continue their moral decay and the decline of America values!
You must start with the beginning of problems and this is "Stopping illegitimates from having more and more illegitimates, 'cut social and welfare programs', and 'put an end to the non-profit organizations and their funding'! SOCIAL AND WELFARE PROGRAMS ARE THE REAL PROBLEM! NOT THE SOLUTION!
For over four (4) decades, the illegitimate population exploded and it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that as long as billions of Taxpayers money is being spent to support all of them, so they can have more
illegitimates, that you're only creating more HIV/AIDS, crime, drugs, stealing, killing, raping, and
have created more slum areas. This is called 'TERRORISM ON AMERICAN SOIL!'
How could anyone be so ignorant as to think that illegitimates having more illegitimates, living off
Taxpayers and not having responsibility for themselves would create a good community, good jobs,
good schools or anything else that's constructive for America!
Believe me, this mess is not Taxpayers fault!

Peace Prize? That would be more ridiculous than Al Gore getting it for his film project. Somebody who starts a war and signs off on torture, oh but he helped Africa. Somehow, I don't think that's even close to balancing out.
