Ma'am; we use race to define people, and wrongly so since all people are people, what ever is their race. The danger to Mr. Obama of his sucking up to the right whites, is not that he will seem white to the blacks, or less black to the whites; but that he will seem only half a man, or rather, like this country, made of halves. Mr. Obama is clearly a divided man. He is more down the middle than most of us; but we all have a split personality, of sorts: Moral, and immoral; spiritual, and materialistic, rich in promise, and poor in performance. And Mr Obama cannot win from the middle. If he tries to straddle the fense he will be riding a rail. The only way to beat the ractionary right is scorched earth, the game they play, and should be called on. Hey; the slave owners and the early republicans were both playing the game of seccession. No one cared so much for union at the price offered. And to day we are pushed to the same brink. We are divided, if our point of division has not been found and pried appart. So; If Mr. Obama wishes to unite the country, he had better wait until he has a better footing upon which to work. No one can join two sections from the middle. You either have to be on the column or the beam, and never the beam until the spud's in the hole. Between the two pieces is called the bite, and many a man has been chewed up and spit out trying to be in the right place before the right time. Mr. Obama ought to stay out of the bite.

Boy, did you hold O"Reilly accountable. There's some hot journalizm. Now, Ms. Saunders, if you wargame cheerleaders could just start talking about what we have really done in Iraq, we might actually see something worth reading. Take a look at some of the columns Nicholas Kristof writes. That's the real stuff, so far way beyond your sophomoric reach.
