The Suicide of Emma Beck and Silence No More

by Michelle Malkin

She didn't have to die. And neither did her unborn children. Over the weekend, London newspapers reported on the 2007 suicide of 30-year-old Emma Beck, a young British artist who hung herself after the abortion of her twin babies. Perhaps the retelling of her suffering can prevent more needless deaths.

Actually Mothers are not counselors, people with jobs similar to counselors are not supposed to treat people they are already close to because it makes them biased, not all mothers are close to their children and it was not the responsibility of Emma Beck's mother to know everything her adult child was going through and fix it. Maybe you trust your mother enough to tell her anything, but not everyone does.

This is a shameless attempt at making an anti-abortion argument at the expense of someone who is no longer alive and therefore unable to respond to the use of her circumstances for the advancement of your personal views. I thought conservatives like yourself are supposed to espouse personal responsibility as a core component of your philosophy. Perhaps that only applies to those you wish to demonize not those whose stories you use to prop-up whichever point you're trying to make at the time, as hypocritical as they might be. No one forced this woman to have an abortion, it was her choice. The consequences of her actions are her responsibility. As an artist she must have been educated an therefore able to research for herself the options available to her as a pregnant woman. You make it sound as if she was unable to find out about the realities of post abortion, unable to seek out those who would advise her against the decision to have an abortion. You go so far as to reference some unknown adjunct assistant writing prof. from the U of Iowa's ridiculous blog of his abortion experience as some kind of indictment of all those on the other side of the debate. This of course is ridiculous but that doesn't stop you. You appear to revel in ridiculous arguments such as this.
