How lucky for me, I knew nothing of this story till reading your article. Horrific, but isn't self-mutilation considered a sign of serious mental disorder? Why do surgeons agree to do the surgery? I guess it's ok, plastic surgeons perform surgery on people with "normal" features routinely. I guess if you've got the money...they've got the time.
